Newcastle legend Sir Bobby Robson has launched a new charitable foundation. Robson is aiming to raise £500,000 for the new charity, and the money shall fund the Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trial and Research Centre, being built at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital.

Cancer can be treated most effectively if it is detected in it’s early stages, and the centre will focus on early diagnosis and treatment, and will also feature clinical trials for new drugs.

Sir Bobby is currently undergoing chemotherapy for lung cancer - the fifth time he has had cancer in his lifetime. Regardless, he continues to work for the benefit of the North East public.

With the transfer window opening on the 1st July, we can probably expect to see an increasing number of transfers in the coming months, not just at Newcastle, but at all clubs in the world.
