Following the first day of the season, Newcastle supporters were on cloud nine; a fantastic thumping win at the Reebok offered a tasty opening to the new campaign. However, a drab and lifeless long-ball fiasco had soured Geordie hearts, following the 0-0 draw at home to Villa, and all of a sudden Newcastle go into their next game, against an unconvincing Boro, with must-win intentions.
