We are aware that there has been a lack of Match Previews over the past couple of months and we would like to apologise for that. However Newcastle-Online is delighted to announce today that starting from the Reading game on Wednesday, there will be a return to the Pre-Match buildup on this site with Match Previews back in the production line, with all new graphics and features, to go alongside Paul Mosley’s famous ref-watch.

Shearer broke the goalscoring record, Steven Taylor scored his first goal for the club, Souness was sacked and Roeder was hired, Newcastle qualified for Europe against the odds, thrashed Sunderland 4-1 at the Stadium of Light and sent Shearer away in style with an emotional night at St James’ Park. 2006 has been yet another eventful year at Newcastle United and we want to know what you thought of it!
