Your Shout: Newcastle United 3-1 Tottenham Hotspur - Have Your Say - Write In
By Paul Mosley On Sun 24 Dec 2006 |
United were quick off the mark yesterday, with goals from Kieron Dyer and Obafemi Martins putting us 2 ahead within 7 minutes. Danny Murphy’s fluke goal reduced the arrears but captain Scott Parker headed home to restore the 2-goal cushion which we held to the end for an impressive victory against a very poor Tottenham side.
What do you think about the match? Can we continue our good form over a difficult looking Christmas period? Who stood out yesterday? Should I stick money on Martins to be the Premiership’s top scorer? Write in and have your say.

Naomi…. for shame
You say you’ve been a fan all your life and have never seen spurs lose to the Toon by that much…
I can think of a few times that Spurs have taken a beating up north…
7-1 drubbing ring a bell?
6-1 in the cup?
4-0 result only 3 years ago
3-1 result only EIGHT MONTHS AGO???
tsk, tsk

Another 3 points. We’re heading into a tough run of matches but there are only 3 points separating 11th and 7th place on the table. A win at the Reebok stadium would be huge.
Howay the lads!

I’ve supported Tottenham Hotspur all my life and I haven’t seen them get beaten by NEWCASTLE (cough cough total scum don’t you agree) by that much and I’m 12 years old on the 28th december.

Great performance!
3-1 against Spurs is not a bad result… nice to see the pace now Dyer is back in the team. Let’s hope there is more to follow from him against Bolton!

Good performance, glad to see Dyer and Martins scoring again. Martins really is in excellent form, he just can’t stop scoring.
