I enjoyed myself in the city, and met a lot of nice people. A lot of good stores, pubs and restaraunts. The beer was cheap too.

What a great stadium! I was in shock when I went inside. This is where you’re supposed to watch and play football! A beautiful ground, be proud of it!

I met a lot of nice people, and really enjoyed talking football with the Englishmen. Everybody was nice to us, even after the match. Everybody seemed to enjoy our company, and made us feel welcome. Thanks!

I am used to a lot less people at the matches in Norway, so I think the atmosphere was great of course. I can only imagine what it is like when it is a full house. But the Toon Army didn’t sing a lot, so that was the only thing that disappointed me.

We deserved the victory! But a draw against a top club in Europe is fantastic, so I am very pleased with the result. But even if we had lost 5-0 I would have enjoyed myself, because it’s not often I get to watch Lillestrom play against a club of your quality. The whole weekend was great. Great people, great nightlife, great match, great stadium, great trip!

Every match in Norway is gonna be a disappointment after this. I almost couldn’t believe that I was going to St. James’ Park to watch Lillestrom in such a great stadium. The Newcastle supporters were nice to us, and it was no problem at all. An excellent away-day.

Coming back?

I want to. Some of the lads are talking about coming back to watch Toon-Sunderland in the Premiership. But I doubt we’d get tickets.
