Didn't Jack have to choose between two people who'd been in a car crash, because he could only save one, and he chose the bird he married? Did we find out who the other one was? Bet it was someone connected with the show, probably Helen and that's how Locke ended up in the chair.

Or am I imagining it?

Go back and watch the episode with Shannong dying - it was her dad. Jack let Shannon's dad die - then Shannon's evil bitch step-mother took away all of her money and set her on the road to whoredom.

Dunno how I missed out on that one.

I know a few people that don't remember anything about Shannonn Rutherford or Boone Carlyle because they were both boring/irritating and killed off early so people just tend to block out any of their back-story. I think it would have been cool to keep Shannon around just so she could find out that Jack let her father die and then watch the tension... but oh well there is plenty of that in store with Sawyer and Locke who will no doubt be at eachother's throats when they discover their link (that is my guess anyway).

Maggie Grace is down for a special guest role in season three. Probably in another flashback link.

I thought I saw Mr. Eko in Hurley's mental home - he was a nurse. Also, Leonard looks like Jack. Perhaps they are all actually inside the mental home.

Nah that would be too easy to work out. Any possibility that has been mentioned in the show like last night's episode with Hurley is unlikely

What I want to know is why Tom is wearing a fake beard and why there were jungle costumes hung up in that Medical Station like costumes. What do people reckon? You reckon the Others could be fake?

According to secretagentman:

"303 is called " The Glass Ballerina". Sun has a dream of her future, featuring her 9 year old daughter."

If these spoilers for the first three episodes are true, then it would seem that they're looking to develop the female characters early on, and give them plotlines to keep them ticking throughout the season.

Interesting choice not to focus on Jack/Locke/Sawyer etc.

I think it's been well hinted, especially with Walt's quotes towards season 2's end, as well as the sophisticated surgical equipment we saw in the flashback in Maternity leave, that the others are in fact very civilized and sophisticated. They only want the crash survivors to think that they are no worse than they are, for some unanswered reason. The Others are probobly not stranded on the island as they would have the survivors believe. Perhaps if the Losties knew how sophisticated they actually were, they would seek them out for a way to get off the island, which is exactly what the Others don't want.

On another note, anyone else believe that Christian Shepard is the link between all of the survivors, and perhaps has some behind the scene role on the entire situation (perhaps he's not really dead)?

A big link yes. I think Christian paid the fortune teller off to send Claire out - I think part of his friendless career was based on research for the Hanso Foundation and I think there is a link between him and Libby. And yes - I think he is alive and that Michelle Rodrigues' cahracter knew this - she was paid to set this up and never got to tell Jack the truth.

So you're saying that perhaps the two (Jack and Ana) meeting before hand at the bar wasn't such a coincidence afterall, and Ana sought out Jack?

His blog is a joke, it's meant to be a parody of people who come out with insane 458 page theories on why Henry Gale smiled in a slightly evil manner in one scene.

No. I am not sure Ana figured out Jack was Christian's son (if at all) until she was standing behind him in line while he was giving his "I NEED to BURY my FATHER" speach - although yeah maybe a broader conspiracy - she seems to have been kept in the dark about CLaire and treated like just a flunky for his purposes while in Sidney. I also believe that since Michelle ROdrigues never came to grips with her alcoholism (in real life) the writers have been hamstrung from doing anything super creative with this one.
