Did Jack actually find his empty coffin on the island? If so how?

I also believe that since Michelle ROdrigues never came to grips with her alcoholism (in real life) the writers have been hamstrung from doing anything super creative with this one.

It's sad thing, you know. She's good actress, hope he can get rid of that.. And I really liked her in Lost.

Yeah well she lives in Paris now and swears she's never moving back to the US so good luck getting her back to Lost.

Did Jack actually find his empty coffin on the island? If so how?

Season one: "White Rabbit". Jack's dad (apparently a hallucination) led him to the caves, where the coffin was located. When Jack smashed it open it was empty.

But how was the coffin there? Was it on the plane?

There was a flashback of Jack trying to convince the airport woman to let him take the body on the plane. Whether or not he was allowed, and whether the body was supposed to have been in the coffin or not is still a mystery.

Jack's reaction suggested that he was under the impression that it WAS supposed to have been in there though.

I didn't really watch the first series. Wasn't interested. Started at beginning of second and picked up as much as possible from first

I suggest you go back and watch all of the first series tbh.

Things like the black and white stones (which haven't been mentioned since episode 6) are rumoured to play a big part in the mythology late on.

I considered it. Would be a bit confusing watching 2nd series then 1st series then 3rd series like

I'm moving this to hall of fame in a minute, new thread to follow later

Overall verdict: good season, but hopefully season three will get back to the sheer awesomeness of season one.
