For what it’s worth, the volume of trades in our shares has been - by our standards - huge. Over 200,000 so far this morning. Chicken feed by the standards of big plcs but massive by our standards. Haven’t analysed today’s trades, but typically, the buys are large and the sells numerous but small which suggests that fund managers are speculating on the take-over happening while small shareholders are selling while the price is high.
Archie, our share price has been unrealistically high ever since the Polygon bid in the early summer and the Halls and Shpeherd’s want a premium on this inflated price.
The anti-Shepherd animus and our appalling position financially and on the field can only weaken Shepherd’s negotiating position, though.
I would love to take training for a day, walk the whole team down Northumberland Street and see what they are doing to all us local people who pay for their big houses and flash cars!!!!
Well, you’re probably right at the minute!! Fat Fred’s come home, his house hasn’t been bombed yet!! But the tin hats are at the ready… people keep saying sack Roeder but can you give me a capable available replacement, this club needs cleansing from top to bottom, but was George Bush really Iraq’s saviour (belgravia)… what are their intentions for our club.
1,642,044 shares traded today, which is huge activity by our standards.

Separate issue but relevant to this post.
Consider the following
Newcastle United - Top 7, in Europe and doing well.
Newcastle United in the relegation zone and players leaving.
What’s the difference in market value?
How much would the Board lose if they sold now?
No wonder Fred doesn’t want to sell.
I suppose the only thing that we can be sure of is that Fred is just as keen to clean up this mess as we are.

While Saddam may have been a bit of a disciplinarian I don’t think he was any worse than Souness.
At least Saddam now knows what his future holds, more than can be said for Roeder.
Shepherd reminds me a bit of Saddam in his blatant refusal to recognise the authority of anyone else on the planet.

Funny, one problem is you’ll probably recevie death threats from an idiot or so!
At least Glenn Roeder won’t mind managing us right to the championship.

The club might be a laughing stock, but funny is funny.
God damn that was funny.

Amusing but it once again shows that our club is a laughing stock, but at least it’s never boring supporting the Toon.
