Only three goals conceded in four outings since the opening day of the season, with six goals scored kicking us provisionally up to fifth with a game in hand over one of the teams ahead of us. The statistics and the results look good thus far, and ostensibly it’s been a rip-roaring start to this season’s campaign, but it hasn’t quite been plain sailing. (more…)


The upcoming fixture against Wigan Athletic Football Club will be an interesting match-up for Newcastle United. A club with heavy traditions against a “newborn” club on the hunt for their first proper silverware has always been bound to be a proper match. And even though Newcastle are the undoubted favourites beforehand, every club has to be on top of their game before facing Wigan in case Wigan are on the top of theirs.

Well the Transfer Window has finally come and gone with new United boss Sam Allardyce getting his fair share of the action since becoming manager of the club back in June.

Since Big Sam took the helm, we have seen no fewer than 23 players come and go with 6 being released, 2 leaving on loan, 6 leaving permanently and 9 joining the Magpies.
