Once the Military are involved in this though they probably will go for some sort of containment element, much in the same way the Company had been trying to all along in the Alien franchise for the benefit of their weapons program.
That's all well and good, just a bit too late. This movie would have to be something special to re-ignite the passion of many a fanboy, myself included. The fact that you've managed to get hold of pictures of all the creatures involved doesn't exactly bode well for any elements of suspense and surprise. Unfortunately, they're integral parts of this genre. I'll always hope, like yourself no doubt, that they can pull it off. But i said the same before AVP and was left feeling as if i'd been raped by Hollywood, and that ain't nice! AVP was a travesty, everybody knows that, in particular the brothers, which is why I'm a lot more confident this time around. I mean a facehugger is going to latch onto a kid, that in itself is fantastic. |

Basically no one has the balls or the ingenuity to do it but this franchise has to go back to a prequel and get Ridley Scott or someone of that calibre onboard....You visit the Alien or Predator homeworlds. Of course if I WAS WRITING IT the alien wouldn't be the dominant creature on its own homeworld....
I think there's a possibility in this film of us actually seeing the Yautja homeworld. You see though Parky, we all know that they do have a homeworld, but with regards to the Aliens, we know nothing of their origins, if indeed they do have a home world, if they weren't actually genetically created to be used as either Bio weapons or just for sport by the Predators, so if you created an Alien home world, a lot would have to be done to explain the origins of it. How they have managed to get through space etc as they aren't a technologically advanced race. All of which would take up far too much time to explain. It's clear from the first film how they get across space. THe alien or predator home worlds would be a challenge and worth persuing imo. And not in a kitsch star trek kind of way... |

I like the concept about the Wolf tbh, as I've always been a Predator over Alien fan, and the majority of Predators in the last one died too easily, they also looked garbage as well. |

People have been waiting for an AVP film ever since the ending to Predator 2, had to be made, just nowhere like as bad as that c*** Anderson done with the first one. |

Completely agree with that. Although Aliens was in a completely different mould, whereas I remember watching Alien for the first time and absolutely shitting myself at the suspense and tension.
