OH MY GOD WE'RE BACK GUYS
Back, not black. Before someone goes all "diversity" on my ass. Hello there. Here we go. We're back. Right. Back... Back back back. Television is back. And like a f****** spectacular slice of cake, it's back with taste... "f*** my ass" is it back, as some would say. Yes. And here is a thread to celebrate that. To celebrate the fact that, as a matter of fact, we're back. Back like a f****** ox.
And what are we gonna do? What are we gonna do? We're gonna f****** download it like the rogues we are. And what are we gonna watch? What are we gonna watch? Well I'm gonna f****** tell you, aren't I?
Yes I am. I am indeed.
And I'll start this off by telling you to watch Pushing Daisies. You see, I have friends in the American television industry, and this, my friends, is the one that they're all getting very excited about. The one that they seem to think may be "the one". The one that makes them feel all warm and fuzzy when they watch it.
How best to describe it?
Well, it's a fantasy/romance/drama thing. With mystery. A murder mystery. Combined with what is probably best described as "magic". Magic that takes on a rather interesting form.
You see, our main character Ned is able to bring people back to life (should they be dead) by simply touching 'em. TWIST - they only come back to life for a minute before they must either die again, or before someone else in the room dies in their place. Cue much drama when the victims don't wanna die again.
And like all super-powered beings, Ned decides to use his power to solve crime, bringing murder victims back to life in order to unravel the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
It's an interesting concept, and it's quite surreal in it's execution. Thus, this is one to watch.
Four stars.
More pilot reviews to follow. Or you can even submit your own. Or don't. Whatever.

I'd think that being brought back to life for one minute and being asked to re-live the details of your death would be just about the last thing a murder victim would want to happen. You'd be: "Well at least that's over!! Hang about... ...here we go again. f*** this!!" If it was real, could you imagine anything more cruel?

I haven't checked this out yet but here's a short summary from Wiki. I'll let you know what I think when I've managed to watch it!
Journeyman
The series centers around Dan Vasser, a normal man who, for an unknown reason, begins jumping back in time. He soon learns that these jumps are linked to the life of a certain person, whose destiny he is meant to change, though it doesn't always turn out for the better. While doing so, Dan reconnects with Livia Beale, his ex-fiancée, whom he lost in a mysterious plane crash. Armed with knowledge of the present, he wonders if he can save her, and in turn how it will affect his life.

Oh, and just to give Pushing Daisies more hype; it's written and created by Bryan Fuller, who wrote several Heroes episodes last season (including "Company Man"), and also wrote the absolutely superb (though ultimately cancelled) series "Wonderfalls" with Firefly Exec. Producer Tim Minear.
Seriously, give it a go.

Firefly was cancelled yet Desperate Housewives thrives.
I think the answer to your question hides somewhere within that sentence.

Only two standout shows so far for me:
1. Season 2 Dexter (5 stars) 2. Reaper (4 stars)
Bionic Woman was okay but not as good as the two listed above.
