not everything in the 80's was good, this tune was so bad and my sister played it so much, that it went missing, which led to the stranglers "rattus" getting smashed which in turn led to me sticking my red football socks in her whites wash which led to the spiteful autumn of 83.

matthew wilder...you c***

Pretty good stuff.  If I were to check out an album, which do you recommend, madras?

either of the first 3 "script of the bridge" is the most raw and natural,"what does anything mean anyway, basically?" is my personal fave but it is very personal on a lyrical level, while "strange times" is probably musically the best, after that it's mostly bootlegs and live plus 1 studio album that didn't do justice to the name.

Cheers, mate.  Really enjoyed that song in the video you posted.  That raw 80's sound that isn't replicated very well today.
