anyone on here a bricklayer or related to one?

is the pay good etc?? i understand its a seasonal style job. but looking into things to keep me going over winter too.

im trying to get onto an aprentaship etc with a briky company.. anyone know any good companies who i should send my cv to etc??

is that the best way to try get a aprentaship? send my cv and cover letter to them etc or actually visiting the sites and so on?

you can normally take a bickies course at the local collage,once a company finds you're doing that they take you seriously,do work experience through them,then they'll taker on the better/reliable ones,the rest will always pick up work aswell.

thign is im now 19 (made the mistake of going to six form haha)... so i would have to pay a load of money a tbh dont have to do a course at a college ... which would then take me to 20-21.. then probably to old (Altho u can be up24 a finks) etc.

you can even do nightcourses,bloke i work with in his late 30's(already in a 35k/p/yjob) recently passed(incase his kids needed owt done when they are older..he relied on his dad),companies are falling over for willingness,courses are there and not mega expensive compared to the returns.ie job for life.

yeah... will have a good look into it tomorrow like. a local college near me charged someone i know about a grand to a one year course. although it was a joinery one but same idea.... ill look into that like. cheers

ifso anyone thinkg they are worth the 300quid etc and does it benefit me etc? obviously if i do one of them it would look good on my cv and so on but is it worth it
