How To Score Past Newcastle: Part 30 Of A Plausible 38
By A.K. Dholakia On Wed 21 Mar 2007 |
Something of a hangover match that seemed to relive the horrors of the AZ Alkmaar tie saw us sink to a lowly Charlton side at the nadir of our season. Depression has been immersed by apathy in some quarters and innumerable displays are beginning to coalesce into something that has no real beginning or end, just the same toothless, mediocre monotony. The road ahead is long it seems, and there is much to be done before the club is at where many feel it should be.
Game 29: Charlton (a)
Goal 38: Zheng Zhi
Blame: Kieron Dyer
Reason: Teapot moment mk II, some might say. Zheng Zhi’s movement was superior to our own all day long, and he found the ball well before Dyer had found him.
Game 29: Charlton (a)
Goal 39: Jerome Thomas
Blame: Craig Moore
Reason: Again, Mr. Zhi had rolled off the shoulder of, and worked around, Moore to allow him an opening to run at. Solano covered as best as any could, and was by no means reckless. Zhi played for the penalty, and it was duly converted.

Tino says:I dont know when Newcastle will wake up and smell the coffee,i dont think Roeder is good enough to manage Newcastle look where are we in the table and then look at the players we have and the money we have spent.I think managers like Kev Keegan and Bob Robson have provided the standard that Roeder should be measured against and if that happens it shall prove that Roeders managerial skills are inadequate to manage Newcastle.Glen Roeder for the SACK!!!!!!!! Thanks Tino

JUST SEEN THE NEWS ON SKYSPORTS, SO THE NEWCASTLE UNITED BOARD ARE PLANNING UPGRADING ST JAMES PARK TO A 60000 STADIUM. THIS WOULD BE WORTH IT IF WE HAD A GOOD TEAM TO GO AND WATCH WITH A GOOD MANGER! THE BOARDS WILLING TO SPEND MILLIONS ON ST JAMES PARK INSTEAD OF MAKING OUR TEAM LEAGUE CONTENTERS! IT’S JOKE! AND WHY HAS ROEDER NOT BEEN GIVEN THE SACK YET? ANOTHER JOKE! THIS IS WHAT OUR FOOTBALL CLUB IS BECOMING AND IT MAKES ME SICK

Why the hell is Fat Freddy talking about on field matters again. This adds to his “we are going to play a 4-3-3 next season” a few years ago. Now he’s talking about not rushing Owen back. Although the statement is fine, what rite does he have to talk about medical and team selection issues. The guy loves being in the papers, but he needs to shut his fat ugly head!

What kind of a statement is this. This is kids stuff, attempting to justify his position
“I know I can coach, I know I am good on team spirit and team morale, but I will get judged on the quality of player I will get into this club,” he said, the emphasis very much on the `I’. “That is why anyone who comes in here will be my signing. It has to be my signing because I will be judged on that player.”
When would you hear Ferguson or anyone for that matter saying stuff like this. It should be a given that he can coach and motivate when your the manager of Newcastle. But no, we seem to have a guy who has to justify that he thinks he can. I am sick of the players talking in the press, how we will overcome the problems and stick together. JUST SHUT UP AND PLAY!!!
Roeder is now talking about the injury list - he is completely under pressure. Look where we are now from when we sacked Sir Bobby, its a disgrace. A manager with excellent credentials and finsihing in Champions League places to this guy who is trying to convince us he can coach! “Nobody could have done a better job under the circumstances” - Everybody is back now and we are still playing very negatively!!! So don’t give us that crap!

When are you going to talk about the new shirt?

Surely they are more appealing things to talk about? There were some very interesting comments coming from Roeder earlier last week. Come on guys, get with the programme…
