For a city of under 300,000 it sounds much more dangerous than the city of +3,000,000 I live in.

Exactly, what the f*** is in the water in Newcastle.

I was going along with metro stations as areas, like he has Byker station in black, so just avoid Byker. TBH there seems to be a s*** load of trouble in Newcastle, if someone wanted a list of places to avoid in Newry id give them a blank page as there is nowhere really that violent.

Is Newcastle really THIS bad?

You're telling me there is nowhere in Newry you wouldn't fancy walking on your own at around midnight Decky?
I have worked a few nights down there recently and it is very much a 'stick close to your mates and the van' type of town.

It isnt at all mate, i grew up in a place that was considered the roughest part of Newry and it wasnt like that at all. I HAVE walked through all the rough parts at the likes of midnight many times, i do it every weekend walking home. You would never get jumped for just being there, you might hear of it some times like 5 times in the space of 3 years.

Ive lived here all my life and know the place really well. s*** like this just doesnt happen in Newry. I mean people starting on randoms on the train and s***, its mental like.

Just a casual observation though...do the trains in Newry have drivers and train conductors?

I think the lack of a conductor is what peturbs me most - and yet on the Docklands Light Railway which also has no driver you couldn't feel more safe. Odd.

Its been that long since I was on the Metro I can't remember what the deal is with drivers/conductors on the Metro Blush
