Sixteen goals scored in nine games. Enough?

Not entertaining but efficient.

Well I for one am enjoying it.

I think there were individual games under Souness and Roeder that were more exciting than the most exciting we've produced so far, but I haven't really been frustrated with how we've played, especially at home.

NUFC ratings based on all-time NUFC form.

Ashley - 7, Mort - 6
Allardyce - 6.5
Given - 7.5, Harper - 6.5, Krul - 5.1
Carr - 2, Beye - 5, Taylor - 5.5, Rozehnal - 5.5, Cacapa - 6.5, Faye - 6, Ramage - 4, Edgar - 5, Babayaro - 2, Enrique - 5.5
Geremi - 5.5, Butt - 6, Emre - 5.5, Smith - 5, Barton - 5, Milner - 6.5, N'Zogbia - 7, Duff - 4.5, Pattison - 4.5
Owen - 6, Martins - 7, Viduka - 5.5, Ameobi - 6, Carroll - 5

Recent Changes:
Ashley - Up 0.5 for being a legend.
Allardyce - Up 0.5 for bringing back the fortress, and new signings doing very well.
Faye and Cacapa - Up 0.5 for being formidable defenders.

N.B. New arrivals start at 5, recent performances carry stronger weighting, and lengthly spells on the sideline injured can reduce rating.

We're not boring, but at the same time we aren't exactly playing quality football.

We have some dangerous players, but we need a playmaker.  Someone who will control the midfield, always find a pass and generally make things happen on a regular basis.   It would improve our overall play.

Merely pointing out that we seem to be scoring a good number of goals this season so far, and without our premier goalscorer being fit/finding the net much. It's good to see.

Point taken though, it was a bit of a wind-up. Wrist considered slapped.

This time, N'Zogbia, Butt, Barton and Shola almost definitely miss out, while Enrique, Taylor, Geremi, Owen and Martins almost definitely start.
