So it's the Norwegian equivalent of Wetherspoons then.  No seriously.

Wandered round for an hour last year trying to get a place showing the match but gave up after wandering into see most showing every sport but football.  Ice Hockey seemed to be the favourite.

We went to Tempest Bar when we played over there in the Intertoto last season. The Oslo branch of the Newcastle supporters club drink there and there's some canny scenery too!

Yeah seems like theres a lot of bars around the £4.50/£5 range... Is this as cheap as it gets? I suppose it is, as ive heard you can pay up to £8 for a pint in some bars.

They must love a weekend on the lash in the UK, £1.30 a pint in 'spoons! Its like us going somewhere and paying 50p a pint all night

Premier League Pubs Oslo:

Rett Inn Storgt 39 0174 OSLO

Sofies Mat og Vinhus Sofies gate 15 0170 OSLO

Found a facebook group dedicated to beer prices in Oslo, and seems these two could be the favourites. Rett Inn sells bevvy for 32kr (£2.90) and Sofies for 35kr (£3.18) Theres also a 'sportsbaren' listed on Fbook, but cant match it to the above list.

The Sportsbar Oslo Rosenkrantzgt 9 0159 OSLO
Rett Inn Storgt 39 0174 OSLO
Sofies Mat og Vinhus Sofies gate 15 0170 OSLO

Any Norweigens/anybody drank/watched footy in any of these bars, and can recommend them?

As for Dublin, the match will be on in most bars in the centre, and a fair few traditional pubs just outside.

I think it's 40/45NOK for 500ml in the Tempest.

Hallo!

I am from Norway. Most of the people I now from the forum, are going to Belfry, and of course they want a real geordie to sing in there.  I cant go there since I live in with the west coast.

I'll certainly consider it, altho the £5 a pint is possibly gonna be the decisive factor, couldnt imagine sitting there drinking coke all night, but that might be the only solution.

Does anyone know if "Storgt" is short for Storgatan??? My hostel is on Storgatan, and i can't find a street called Storgt.

Maybe you can get half-cut before you get to the pub.

Thats the plan, taking a load of grog and food for the hostel....

I'm not gonna be a bad lad and have a small bottle of vodka in my pocket, while drinking coke all night ;-)

Storgaten, must be next to my hostel! Anker, no W at the start!
