Just seen the latest advert for "Cholesterol  reducing cereal" (which will only work as part of a balanced healthy diet by the way???)

This one was Octavia, supported by some bell end chef.

How many "cholesterol reducing cereals" will be invented, before they systematically rejuvenate and restore our hearts to birth function?

If Kellogs or Nestle wish to advertise their wheat, isn't it time they contrived a new strategem of lying and deciet?

f****** hate that kind of s***.

But I guess there's so many dumb people out there just wanting to chuck their money away on snake-oil that it must be hard for advertisers not to take advantage. I know it's harsh, but most of the time I just think: tough s***, serves you right for being a complete idiot!! Especially when it's me who's the idiot.

My diet isn't as balanced as it should be but I point blank refused to be conned by these cnuts trying to convince people that they can be healthy by eating what they're trying to sell.  If you want to be healthy then it's all about your whole lifestyle.  You've got to get exercise.  It can't be done by diet alone.

Eat what you like, just don't eat a f****** bucketful of it!!

Oh and get off your fat arse once in a while and all.

Either that or be happy being a fat b******, simple as.

The only one, I think, that has any value, is Shredded Wheat.

Unfortunately, it tastes like Shredded Wheat.

Wrong, any foods containing soluble fiber can reduce your low-density lipoprotein or you can add plant sterols to foods that blocks the absorbtion of cholesterol.

Its the future of food.

I eat absolute s**** and I weigh about ten stone dripping wet.

What's ironic is that the people telling me how badly I eat are usually fat women on some bizarre moral high ground in between rattling on to their fat friends about how many points they won/lost/ate at Fat Fighters and guzzling down a portion of chips. It's ok though because they had hummus or some s**** for lunch.

At least none of them claim it's glandular.

Lipoprotein? Plant Sterols?

These would make great ingredients in Pantenes' next cobblers-filled commercial push!!

I DO assume they are genuine, no offencement there Chez.  You seem by your response, to have a hand in diet based matters.  Would you say that a veggie burger is in ANY way healthier than the average "Whopper" or "FlatMac"?   Afro

I heard you should eat porridge. It is high in soluble fibre which traps bile acids and ensures a steady flow of cholesterol from the blood to the liver. Or something.

Shredded Wheat is the lushest cereal of them all tbh.

And ditto to Wullie, I can eat what I want and just simply don't put on weight. Hoping this will change sometime soon...

I barely eat anything and yet can put on a stone of extra weight just by eating a tiny segment of a satsuma. Life isn't fair. {$default_cry_smiley}

Nae idea Lanky. I specialise in drugs, legal and illegal. Foods can reduce bad cholesterol or increase good cholesterol so the claims they make are true.

Bacon and eggs is the king of breakfasts.  If I didn't have to go to work I'd have eggs and bacon every day  smitten  Rather than a bowl of something that looks like a squirrel's passed it out of its arse, with milk added
