Well done safc, I remember you saying the other week in FM chat you'd been on the look out so I'm pleased for you bud.

Meanwhile, Manpower continue to piss me off. After the original debacle where they wouldn't give me the job because I was on holiday for 2 days when it began, the promised phone call never transpired. So I rang them when I got back and explained the situation and they palmed me off promising another phone call today. And they haven't. So I rang them again and I was on hold for 10 minutes so I stopped trying. They're a call centre and getting in touch with them is difficult for me. If I was into all thie superstition stuff I would say it's fairly obvious I shouldn't work for them, however tomorrow I'm ringing to apply from scratch, pretend I've never spoke to them before. They won't know any diferent.

Rant over.

I got offered the job as soon as they could as they appear to be desperate so if you ring up again it shouldnt be a problem, what position you going for?

I have my first ever job interview tomorrow, at Wicks in South Shields, has anyone got any tips, bare in mind I'm only 16.

You DO know,Allmo, that there's a B&Q right across, the road, and I'm informed that supervisors employ young "Scouts" to make reconnossance missions over the road to scale the high fences and bring back paint, doors, laminate, or anything else the poor buggers can get their hands on, just to improve the profit margins!

And if you dont make it, and are captured behind enemy lines, Wicks say you dont work for them, but donned a Wicks apron to obtain critical information for B&Q

If your captured You dont know me and vice versa!

Well, just landed a job today for this company: www.arktyp.ca .  Well chuffed as they're a small company with potential to grow.  Lot's of great clients and I'll be thrown to the lions straight away working on a project for Adobe.  To be working for a client such as Adobe at an early stage of my career is amazing.  I think I'm still in shock that the lads came after me for my services.  Nowt like feeling appreciated for your talents.   Afro

Lot's of  challenging work in the next couple of months, but I'm up for it.  Hope the lads lay a beating to the Smoggies this weekend to cap off a superb week.

What's it for Wilomena?

Working for the CPS, preparing cases for court amongst other things. Sounds interesting enough.

Sounds good mate.

The CPS is a good place to get experience if one day you want to become a barristers clerk which in London is a really good number.
They help prepare cases with barristers and organise the barristers diary inc interacting with the wider court and witnesses etc...They get a bucket load of money as well.

Good luck.
