12 O'clock, just had a phone call about an hour ago, wasn't expecting it in the slightest as my CV was handed in a few weeks ago. Also, cheers for the link.

Release your inhibitions. Probably the best thing you can show an employer is that you're not afraid to be yourself. Express yourself, come into the interview wearing a bright coloured shell suit, perhaps don a mexican hat to show your excitement of the occasion. Hit on the women, crack jokes with the guys. There's nothing that could stand you in better stead than knowing you'll fit right in with the team. Good luck.

I'm a little bit like Alan Oliver and like to force my own ideas onto others. That is why I bummed Ottmar Hitzfeld so much and campaig

My main advice would be Dress smart. Dont always have to wear a suit but well presented, clean shoes and in stuff you feel good in. Will help your confidence. Be honest. Never lie, just be yourself and try to be as friendly and as warm as you can. Dont over do it though. Know the company, what they do and have a few questions prepared. Good luck.

Keep eye contact with them. I've had a few recently and they've all asked the 'So tell me about yourself' question. Think of what to say incase they ask you that. Can be a bit awkward at the time if not.

Chez, you interviewing in-house or on the move?
External job, just to see whats what really. Going to test the water before looking at an internal move. However, if they want me (big question obviously) they may make me an offer i cant refuse. Which would be nice. Its another European role at a mid-cap in my sector. Based between Trocadero and Champs Elysee and just round the corner from my favourite restaurant. Good luck to Wullie too

I missed Wullie's post. Aye good luck to you an'all, Wullbert. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting your sunny demeanour across in interview. Good stuff btw, Chez. Hope it goes well. Always nice to have a bargaining chip as well. When I told the last place I was leaving they tried to throw some extra £££ my way to get me to stay (the fools!), but it was far from an offer I couldn't refuse. So I refused.

Cheers mate, shouldnt be too tough an interview as i've been working at this level for over 2 years. Never know what they are going to throw at you though. Are you still an accountant btw?

I had a job interview this morning, put it this way, it was as bad as a job interview could go, from the moment i got up it was doomed. Am saying no more, its just too much of a mess to digest.

Chap I worked with busted out of the WSOP but this other chap that I know has made it to the 3rd round. His position is roughly 420th so he'd pick up $30k right now. Swine. Daniel Goldstein is his name.

The current job title i use most often is European Market Access manager. If i'm with customers, i give a more academic sounding title.

Sounds interesting, I'm thinking about heading to Europe, need a change of pace. Plus my field is taken more seriously across the pond.
