Takeover & Boardroom Developments

  • Mike Ashley has de-listed the club from the London Stock Exchange and is now in full control of Newcastle United
  • Lawyer Christopher Mort is the club's new Chairman, replacing Freddy Shepherd who now has no further involvement with NUFC
  • Steve Hayward has also been appointed to the board of directors
  • Bruce Shepherd, Allison Antonopoulos, Tim Revill and Douglas Hall have resigned from the board of directors


Managerial Developments

  • Steve Round has joined the club, as First Team Coach
  • The club have advertised for positions in Sports Science and Physiotherapy via the official site
  • Big Sam has poached some of his previous staff from Bolton: most recently linked is "European scout" Dave Worthington

Right, the Admin will try and keep this up to date, but please bear with us.

This thread is to let people know what is happening without having to trawl through megathreads on the forum. It is linked to in the news bulletin at the top of the main forum index.

We're not going to put up tenuous links to anyone and everyone, only those that have major sources and/or official news relating to them. For example, any Wikipedia/Planetfootball nonsense won't get on. The Viduka link has been widely reported pretty much everywhere, so gets on. You get the idea.


This thread is now locked, to keep out clutter. Feel free to PM any of the Admin if the original post is particularly out of date, but only with genuine developments.
