I agree with everything Scott Parker's 60's Haircut's said so far, he seems to have a good understanding on the whole concept, and speaks a great deal of sense.

MADDY'S MUM: MORE SYMPATHY IF I HAD BIGGER BOSOM

Wednesday October 17,2007
By Chris Riches

KATE McCann has said that she is sure she would win more sympathy if she had a bigger bosom.

She has poured her heart out to her parents that she feels “persecuted” over her appearance and has resorted to counselling.

Susan and Brian Healy say their daughter and son-in-law Gerry are desperate to keep their campaign to find Madeleine alive, but feel constantly targeted by the foreign media.

Susan explained: “Kate said last night, ‘If I weighed another two stone, had a bigger bosom and looked more maternal, people would be more sympathetic.’ I think it’s terrible that she has to think like that.

“She does feel persecuted, not by the general public who have been extremely supportive, but by some sections of the media, and I just feel it’s important I let people know she is not this person who is in control all the time.

“Kate is a very sensitive, caring person and one of the most maternal people I know – she puts me to shame. Her life revolves around her children but now she’s got to the point where she feels she is being persecuted, in her mind, if her twins, Sean and Amelie, cry in public – it’s absolutely crazy.

“All this stuff is going on inside my poor daughter who has not done anything wrong.”

To be honest, they've gotten far more help, media coverage etc. than they would have if they'd been working class imo. The lack of sympathy stems from the couple leaving their children alone when they were so young.

Well, they haven't spend the donations they've received yet.
i thought they had spent some on a poster campaign in portugal and spain to keep awarness up.

if not they are planning it and also hiring their own investigators,i understand some money from the fund has gone to a "missing children's charity"

I did read somewhere that they hadn't spent any of it yet (over £1m) as secret benefactors had been financing the search, etc.
