It seems like a lot of people are forgetting that we also helped Bellamy's career in return for what he did for us.
Martins for me.
as soon as someone ;eaves they suddnely become less good, and the new boy is suddenly a world beater. Short memories.
Look at Gooch - people are saying he's top class off the back of ONE game, half of which he was genuinely poor for.
It's as much to do with no brains as short memories, mate. Jenas is a cracking example of what you describe.

Meanwhile, I wait for toonstaylor to prove he knows more than me, by telling us all about these 3 players I have asked him about, who played for the toon, which I saw play.
After walking 15 miles to the ground, barefoot, in the snow, over hot coals, uphill both ways, to watch us get beaten seven nowt by kidderminster with only a hot cup of drawing pins at half time to look forward to. We were glad of it an all.

BS
The underlying attitude here is that you have no interest in the history of the club you claim to support. Good stuff.
As a supporter, I'm interested in the club going back way before I was born, it saddens me that some people don't seem to give a toss.

and the relevance of that is what exactly to a footballing observation which shows how far forward the current board have taken the club ?

What is the relevance of the players you mentioned to the club failing to live up to its potential now, Emre's alledged racist remark, if bellamy was a t***, if Souness was a greater to or equal t***? What has half the stuff you've been banging on about got to do with this thread or pretty much anything anyone else is talking about in it at all?

You are the most pathetic individual i've ever come across, you define the word cretin.
You name 3 players before i was born and try to hold it against me, wow, am i supposed to know everyone in the history of NUFC, some people have got lives to live.
I cant help when i was born, just like you cant help living in the past, i wish people like you stayed there.
I'm a supporter of my football club, i dont question others support as im not insecure about how much i love my club, i do, its a personal love between me and it, and no arsehole can question me.
I hated Souness as much as the next man, detested the c***, but i dont want to reply to you as you twist things, like you have now, its pointless getting in to a conversation with you as you talk that much drivel and change the topic randomly to fit your knowledge.
You are a sad little old man with nothing in his life apart from trying to wind people up, i feel sorry for you that this, and your shitty website is all you've got in life.
Pathetic.

it is unfortunate you can't take the comments in the spirit in which they are intended. It is also unfortunate you aren't intelligent enough to accept that someone who has supported the club longer than you and saw more games than you, possibly has more knowledge due to those things. Most people are intelligent enough to see this. If someone comes up to me and I discovered they have watched Newcastle United 1100 times over 50 years I would accept they know more than me and have more experience of the clubs fortunes I would accept it, its no big deal.
I certainly wouldn't launch into daft posts like you do, in fact, I would be curious to see what he says. But if you wish to remain largely ignorant of the club, that is your choice, and nothing to do with age.
PS. You know nothing about me, its a bit rich calling me those names, and pretty desperate too. I feel sorry for you resorting to it, how old does it make you appear do you think ?

Shame, because you are an uninformed "supporter" in comparison to me, and you know it.
Please tell us what you know about Alex Reid, Alex Bruce and Tommy Knox, if you are more informed than me. For starters.
Congratulations.

Find me an adult and i'll debate.
I get more sense out of my 6month old than you.
PS: Just want to say i respect the amount of times you've been to football matches, but that doesn't mean you know any more than the next person, it just means you've sat and watched a lot of games, most of the rubbish quality if your tales are anything to go by. Also football changes every year, and what was relevant back in the 60's & 70's has little or no meaning in todays world and game. That is a fact, and not an opinion which you try and shove down peoples throats on here at a constant rate of twice every post.

Am so right you had to quote me twice.
I changed it because I don't know how it happened.
Anyway, whats your problem. Why don't you want to debate like an adult ?
Find me an adult and i'll debate.
you have a point, it is difficult to argue with someone who thinks they know best when they have
little experience and knowledge to back up their views. The notion that the chairman/board is "s***" despite being shown how far the club has moved forwards during their whole time running the club isn't something that an adult or someone who was intelligent enough to recognise something to debate would refuse to acknowledge. Well done.

I get more sense out of my 6month old than you.
Shame, how old do you look now do you think ?

PS: Just want to say i respect the amount of times you've been to football matches, but that doesn't mean you know any more than the next person, it just means you've sat and watched a lot of games, most of the rubbish quality if your tales are anything to go by. Also football changes every year, and what was relevant back in the 60's & 70's has little or no meaning in todays world and game. That is a fact, and not an opinion which you try and shove down peoples throats on here at a constant rate of twice every post.
Whatever. I am not disputing the fact that a fan is a fan whatever his age. It would appear you can't quite grasp this. I am simply pointing out that the current board have taken the club forward from where they took over. If you don't believe me, because you weren't there, then i don't see that as shoving anything down anybodys throat, instead I see it as being very ignorant not to take notice as it happens to be true. You are right actually, far too much of the 70's and 80's was complete crap, that is precisely the point I am making. Things are much better now. What do you think is the reason for that ? Serious question to you, as an adult.

Don't waste your time with him lads, if he can't prove you wrong he'll make something up.
If that doesn't work he'll pull out the "the 5th best over the last decade" card even if it has nothing to do with the topic you're on about, then start with the abuse when he realises he is making a tit of himself.

I don't believe that is true, here is an example. I hope you don't dismiss it because it's not about Emre but you have posted an opinion that is also nowt to do with Emre.
The common formation of 4-4-2 has been around for a long time now. When did teams start using this formation, do you think? It came in decades ago but it is still the same today and apart from fitness levels it hasn't really changed. Over those decades various clubs have tried different things but without consistent success. Newcastle have tried 3 at the back a number of times, (Gordon Lee did it in the 70's for example) and each time it's attempted the majority of people groan. Why do they groan? Is it because we know from PAST experience that it doesn't work that well in England?
What happens in the past provides lessons that can be applied to today. It is relevant and it takes hardly any effort to understand it if you open your mind and show some interest. As I said earlier, I'm interested in the football club since it began, I find it amazing that today's younger supporters don't give a toss about the history of the club.

Nobody mentioned the board, apart from you. Why bring them in to it over a debate about Emre and racism?
Do you not see what you do everytime you post?
You bring it back to Bellamy Vs Souness and finally get on to your favorite subject...the board.
Its FUKING BORING!
Nobody want to talk about it, i dont, and i dont even want to talk to you fullfukingstop.
Listen, you've ruined another thread, so job well done, so lets leave it at this so people can enjoy the rest of the thread if it ever gets going again on its original topic.
I'm not going to reply to you again here, thats not me showing how much of a fan am not, although no doubt you'll question me, its me trying to allow other to enjoy the message board, i know thats alien to you on your own, but thats what people like to do here.
Have a good night my dear old squire.

THIS is what changed the subject. It was YOU, when you referred to "getting rid of all the cunts". Is that about Emre and racism ?

Howay lads, it's Friday night man.
The weekend is upon us and we have a massive game tomorrow that we all want to win, surely we can all agree on that?
Things have got well out of hand in here to the point where it's gone beyond debate and things are getting personal, there's absoutely no need for it at all. Right, so you's disagree, let's leave it there because this doesn't solve anything and it'd be a f****** sin if anyone got banned because of this.
Go out, get pissed, have a nice night and then cheer the lads on tomorrow. Can't help but feel that this has all kicked off because there's f***-all else been going on worth talking about... at least at 5pm tomorrow we'll either be delirious or seething, with plenty more stuff for us to (MASS)DEBATE over, stuff that actually matters.
If you can't do that, then at least just have a laugh at me for spending

Friday night in on me todd, or at least get back to calling Emre a dirty racist...
