To Ameobi or not to Ameobi, that is the question.

Bolton might as well take a punt on someone like Martin Allen rather than keep regurgitating some of these guys.

What's Martin Allen ever done? Gary Johnson or Simon Grayson would be better choices.

Basically anyone other than the likes of the names we keep on hearing was what I was saying ...

Souness has hardly 'failed consistently'. He's won a lot of stuff in his time.

mainly in scotland. his biggest job to date showed just how inept he was/is.

Rangers - trophies.
Liverpool - trophies.
Portugal - trophies.
Blackburn - trophies and promotions.
Newcastle - f***** up big-time.

Never a brilliant manager and utterly hopeless here, but he hasn't 'failed consistently'.

Laughing I'm really not at all. He crucified us, plain and simply. But he's had plenty of success in his career as a manager - that's a fact - and i think he'd actually do well at Bolton. I think he's got the right sort of attitude to sort them out.

More than a few people said that about him coming here

Jol will not be sacked this week. Heard it here first.

Guess who's right? Right again.

How do you not know he was asked for his resignation?

Bottom line is he wasn't sacked.

If you say so, I would say his attitude / ego were his biggest problem here, and at a struggling team like Bolton I can't see that working to his advantage.

blackburn - almost destroyed them too. remember the fans thanking us for taking him?
southampton - lasted a season and is still a laughing stock to this day. ali dia?
us - laughing stock, stevens inquiry, still feeling the effects of him 18 month later, sacked.

I think he'd help the rest of the league.

If any chairman seriously considers him for a top-flight job after what happened here they deserve everything they get tbh.

Shame we got rid of Boumsong, sure Souness would have been happy to shell out a tidy sum to take him to the reebok

Can add Martin Adkins to that list. Done a remarkable job at Scunny

Just hope they don't give it to Speed - would kill any chance of him coming here to coach in the near future

I agree with everything Scott Parker's 60's Haircut's said so far, he seems to have a good understanding on the whole concept, and speaks a great deal of sense.

I wouldn't wish Souness on anybody except the mackems, but it would be funny to see him have another go at management. At least this time we could enjoy it rather than suffer it.
