not just carrick,you must have others.....thought dessaily at chelski fell in this catagree

Not being pedantic, but that is the most magnificent spelling mistake I have ever seen!

Riquelme would have been mine until the world cup, but I was impressed with him then.

What about Raul??
i know,should have been a kicking "k" not a curly "c"

So you mean "Katagree"??

This one was a cracker, Madras. Smile

When I was an employer I binned CVs with elementary spelling mistakes.  I binned a lot of CVs  {$default_evil_smiley}

obviously you were a s*** employer then. Unless you worked in publishing or a related area.

I don't give two shites about spelling as long as the miss-spelling doesn't change the meaning of the word (there, they're for instance). Pisses me off if those get messed up but spelling mistakes that don't change the meaning of words are fine, because the end message gets through.

You have very narrow terms of reference.  Giving written advice requires a basic grasp of the English language

If you couldn't be bothered to learn how to write your own language, why should any employer think you might be an asset to your company, no matter what the business? It's a fairly good indicator of someone's general intelligence and aptitude.

Jesus.

One of the biggest assets anyone can have is the ability to write in a conherent and compelling way, in any kind of job that requires email or written communication. It's a massive bonus to be able to make an argument well, in some ways even more important than the content of what you are saying.

And on a CV? Straight in the bin with a chuckle.
