Most of them sound right. Its what they say many of us disagree with, or get fed up of, particularly when bias comes into play, that results in us calling them s*** commentators - but the likes of Motson have a good voice for commentating. With this female commentator in particular, it simply sounds rubbish. Murray Walker didnt get so far in the commentating world because of what he said, but because of his voice - without that resonating voice that sounded fantastic when excited and in as high a pitch as an engine in full throttle, hed have been nothing. Sue Barker has a great voice for example, and if she was capable of doing live commentry, would make a great football commentator regardless of her gender - but not many women have a voice suitable for commentary, just as few children or teenagers have one either. This female commentator working for the BBC certainly doesnt. |

I'm glad someone brought this topic up. Fair enough give women equal ops to commentate, but it just didn't feel right. Her voice was empowering enough - I know that you could say that about most male commentators, but think about the very best commentators. Although half the time they talk out of there ass, you can watch the match and have them as background noise and it wouldn't bother you. With this woman, I just could enjoy the highlights. Shocking but true!

Its the BBC FFS, have you seen who they've got working for them?
Their highest paid person is J. Ross on £6m a year, aye he's funny but not that funny. Gay Norton is on £3m a year and he's not even funny, just gay. They lose money, demand money off us, produce utter s****, make s*** up, and cost people their jobs. Unfortunately its not the ones the general public really have a problem with.
As for their footballing department, its fuking abysmal. Motson is a w******, Lawro is a thick c***, Hansen is an arsehole, Lineker is a boring s****, Shearer is a novice, Wright is on something and now this woman. A woman FFS!
I avoid MOTD like the plague, same with ITV football, they just haven't got a clue. Sky is the only one worth watching, say what you want about their influence, but just thank your lucky stars its not the BBC who have that power, we'd all have our heads caved in through severe depression by now.

Im not that bothered about having a female footy commentator, but only if they are actually good. This woman is rubbish, and if she was a man she would still be rubbish. Its got nothing to do with the fact its a woman.
Martin Tyler is the king of commentary and needs to be cloned ASAP.
