has anyone had problems with this ?

I used to backup disks, but it seems to not like doing it sometimes......... Dave, could it be connected to when I upgraded the firmware a few months ago ?

Possibly, but I can't see why it would be bothered. Try a newer version of the software?

Upadating firmware shouldn't be a problem. More like newer macros that dvd shrink can't handle. Try anydvd instead

use anydvd or get dvd decrypter and the "pgc edit" plugin wizard. Its just new fancy encoding i guess.

no, they aren't necessarily brand new films, I only copy one now and again. I've reinstalled dvd shrink and it worked OK - for now anyway.

Might have a look at anydvd though for future reference. Ta lads.
