Its mostly the parents fault, like Gemmill said he is f****** 8,he won't buy his own food,he will eat practicly anything you give him,the kid likes to eat and his parents are just giving him/spoiling him by giving him all types of food he likes.
He is 8 and weighs 14 stones FFS,i wouldnt be too botherd if they take him away from his parents, but the best thing to do is help them learn how to say no to him, maybe teach how about Sports/football so he practise it in his free time rather then eating every f****** thing infront of him
Yes it is mostly his parents fault...
They forced him to feed on junk food...
They forced him to turn down the oppertunity of a healthy dish...
They force him to sit on the couch and do no exercise...
His sister isn't in the same sister due to his parents...
Yes, his parents have contributed, but even at eight you still have to take some responsibility. Jesus if an eight year old is given poison I don't expect them to drink it, he most know he has gone too far...

Another case of the state trying to flex those control muscles, what this kid and his parents need are help and sympathy not turmoil which taking the kid away into care would cause, and help no-one, least of all the poor kid. That said, the parents want slapped for allowing their kid to become so obese, no excuses really.
His mother wants leathered tbh. Listen to this man:
In an interview for tomorrow's Tonight with Trevor McDonald, she added that Connor wants "chips with everything", loves curry, and snacks junk food all day while sitting at the computer.
He wants chips with everything, does he? Well f****** tell him he's having salad. He loves curry, does he? He's 8 years old you stupid bitch, he's not going out and buying curries for himself, is he? And he snacks junk food all day as well? Right, and who's stocking the cupboards with junk food?
f****** thick as pigshit man. Her son will be dead by the time he's 30 if she doesn't do something to sort it out now. "In a way I hope that he has a disease or syndrome, so that he can be given a tablet or treatment that will make it all stop." No, he doesn't have a disease, he just has a stupid mother.
Saying this, why isn't his sister a similar size to him?
its the parents fault man.
the fact that at 18 months the boy was in 5 year old clothing tells its own story. The boy's 18 months old ffs, the mother must have shovelled down milk every time he f****** cried for about an hour to get him to that weight. you don't get like that through big bones. They never told the boy no as a baby so no wounder he still thinks that if he complains for food he'll get it, with a pigthick weak mother. stupid bitchcunt. "i hope we can control this with medicine"(words to that effect) is the typical pigthick response to all problems in modern day society, what a f****** bitch, no wounder her housband left her.
as to why the sister isn't the same size, if she's younger than him then it'll be a classic case of 'i'm always feeding the fat b****** (first borns are usually favourites) and can't fit the time in to feed my daughter.

Yes it is mostly his parents fault...
-correct
They forced him to feed on junk food...
-they didn't stop him lyke
They forced him to turn down the oppertunity of a healthy dish...
-they made this perfectly acceptable as he would know turning down salad would lead to chips. If he turns down salad then feed him nowt. short term pain for long term gain, he'll be dead by 30 otherwise.
They force him to sit on the couch and do no exercise...
-give him incentives lyke, or if you can't afford to then push him, take away his computer.
His sister isn't in the same sister due to his parents...
-the sister is probably eating the salad he doesn't want to.

Agreed that its not ALL the parents fault,he takes the blame for being stupid, then again his problem didnt start at 8,he mightve started eating like a pig since he was 3 or less and his parents never botherd to fix the problem then, now it turned to more of a habit then a problem and they are the one's to blame the most for it..

Blatantly didn't know how to handle him as a kid hence feeding him everytime he cried, hence him developing a healthy (well unhealthy) appetite, hence him being a big fatty fat fat now who is always hungry and always gets what he wants!
His sister must have got lucky and was born a quiet baby.

To get kids eating good food, you have to do many things that take love and effort:
If they don't like apples, give them a banana. If they dont like bananas, give them a carrot. Eventually, they'll find something that they like compared to the other things, and be happy eating it in the future. Just dont get out the frozen food, as that is positive reinforcement for refusing to eat something, and they'll know it works next time.
Have some routine as to when food like chips are eaten - they therefore feel that they cant control what they are eating.
Eat at the table as a family, and don't let the kid leave the table until theyve eaten most of everything. Knowing that they aren't able to play/watch tv is a great incentive.
If there is a food in a particular meal they dont like, don't change the recipe if they protest. Stick with it, and make them pick their mushrooms out (with assistance of course). Again makes it feel like parents are totally in charge of eating habits.
Make most of the foods yourself. Mix unhealthy stuff with simple, healthy stuff, ie homemade chips with a chopped tomato, half a tin of drained tuna, chunks of cheddar cheese, and a lettuce leaf.
Help the kid chop up his food, as it being easier for him to eat is more likely to make him want to eat it.

Also, lie like hell. I've seen other kids only wanting a certain type of pizza because they enjoyed one once, and my mum serving up a different pizza.
They ask: "Is it an American pizza?" in a way which implies that they will only eat it if it is.
It is a thin based Italian pizza, but the kids are too young to tell the difference, so my Mum told them it was.
Afterwards, she asked them if they liked it, and when they told her they did, she then tells them that she was wrong, it was actually another pizza, at which point the kids asked what it was, and added this new foodstuff to their mental list of food they like.

Always remember a mate coming to mine when I was little and me mam was doing fish fingers. He said he didn't like them so she chopped them in half and told him they were fish toes. He wolfed them down.

Me neither, but millions have pretty successfully.
it would be undoubtedly a lot of effort, but all the effort is probably the most worthwhile thing most people have done in their life.

When I was a kid, if I refused to eat my food my Dad used to stop me from leaving the table until I would, if that didn't work he used to go to the fridge and get a huge piece of cheese and say I had the choice of either eating that (on it's own, no bread or anything), or finishing my meal. Unfortunately, I now have a hard-core cheese habit.
Basically, parents need to grow a backbone and make their kids eat a decent diet, don't use sweets etc as bribes or rewards and make sure that kids get plenty of exercise. That's the secret, I used to eat loads of s***, but I did a few hundred lengths of the Dolphin Centre pool every day, which meant I was dead healthy anyway. Active kids burn up so much energy that they can get away with it.

Agree its the mothers fault and the kid is just doing what he has done from birth - ie stuff his face with what he wants.

I'm sure the mother is killing the boy with kindness and lacks any kind if discipline with her son. But that might not be the top and bottom of his problems......there are documented cases of people whose brains do not give out the normal "For fucks sake no more food I'm full" signals and who continue to eat regardless. Our bodies are genetically programmed to keep stuffing it in until we get that hormonal signal. The boy's pursuit of uber bulky foods, plus the fact he was doing this as a baby, suggests he might have a biological eating disorder coupled with a mother who won't say no. I do hope they looked into this properly.

Just saw a report on the lad on Sky and rather than having a biological disorder it looks like he's a greedy fat b****** with an incredibly stupid mother. She had the brass neck to claim his morbid obesity wasn't her responsibility but was in some way the GP's fault. Why is it never their fault? I fully expect her to sue the health service next. Incidentally I was amazed the child wasn't dead through food poisoning, such was the state of her kitchen. Still, I expect that's the council's fault......
