Rare ribeye steak with eggs, and on the same plate some singapore fried noodles.

Fusion food at its finest.

Just made Jian Bing Smile

Amazing pancake you can only buy from street stalls in Beijing and occasionally in other Chinese cities.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lQ5IQ7nn28

Taken many attempts, but finally managed a workably similar version. It's culinary heaven.

The sad thing is that they cost 16p each in Beijing, but it takes a lot of work to make here.

You've just inspired me actually, me dad works for Walkers so I may have to get a box of them.

The pancake is made from a batter of flour, corn starch and mung bean flour (I have to make do without the mung bean).

Then an egg goes on top, spring onions, coriander and black seseme seeds on that.
Turn it over
Then add the sauces: Chilli sauce, fermented tofu, and black bean (get my mother in law to bring these over ready-made).
Then add a deep-fried tofu rind (substitute popadom), and fold it up.

Awesome for breakfast or lunch.
