I still miss the classic Blitzkreig Bop -> Alan Price Blaydon Races -> O Fortuna -> Local Hero that they played until about 2004.  When the DJ was the bloke from Steel Wheels.  It all went wrong when they got rid of him, and when they started having to play that dreadful Premiership fanfare thing.

The most cringeworthy one I've heard was in the Carling Cup v Chelsea, the Newcastle players ran out in the second half to "The boys are back in town"

This.

Also the bizarre rubbish he's started playing after he finishes reading out the teams about 7-8 minutes before kick-off.

At least he has stopped announcing mascots etc just before Local hero has ended.  Smile

Angles music used to annoy me, as does that s**** one he plays before The players come out.

The AC/DC screaming song is the worst. I think that's what a few people have mentioned. I don't know what it's called though.

It's an ok song it's just got nothing to do with football, Newcastle United or anything...except the Angus Young/Newcastle connection

It sounds undeniably s*** over the undeniably s*** St. James' Park speakers, though.  It makes my fillings rattle.  Horrible.

I've noticed Nina Simone's "Aint Go No, I got Life" is played at the end of every game now.

Sounds far better through my speakers here than it does on the SJP sound system.
