Did anyone go to see Simian Mobile Disco on friday night? The queue was huge so we ended up going to The Cosmic Ballroom instead. It was canny but I have a feeling Simian would have been just a little bit better like.

Yeah, I'd like to know if they were any good or not, as it might be the difference between dragging my sorry arse out for the second allnighter in a row or flogging my ticket on ebay.

They were quality when I saw them here in Toronto a little over a week ago.  Digitalism and Justice coming up this week, quite stoked on both shows!

Just found out that I got an exam the same evening as my highly-anticipated Kent-gig I'm absolutely gutted! Hopefully, there is a way for me to switch tickets with someone to go on the Saturday instead

They were superb.

John Stanier is my new hero.

There's an entire show on youtoob, sounds not great, but better than your average mobile phone clip...

Caribou are at Independent in Sunderland for a fiver

Just got back from Iron & Wine at the Sage.  People weren't happy he avoided the solo acoustic stuff and never played the Trapeze Swinger.  I, on the other hand, think that track is dirge and far prefer the full band of his new album, so I had a cracking night.

Saw them a couple weeks ago, much preferred to his solo snore fest material.  I went with a mate who had nobody else to go with and pleasantly surprised, I was.

Can't wait to see Battles again, Happy Face.  I'm hoping for a larger turn out this time as last wasn't that busy and I don't think they played to their potential.  More Buzz about the band since the last show, I'm crossing my fingers.

Also, how good are Caribou?  Dan Snaith is a knob, (met him a few times, he dated a girl I knew) but he makes killer tunes.

going to see the pigeon detectives tonight at the uni, saw reverend and the makers there last week, this was the third time i'd seen them and they were brilliant, they even treated the fans to an impromptu acoustic set outside the uni after the gig.

also found out today my gilfriend has just won tickets to see transmission t-mobile filmed next week in coventry, we got tickets, travel accomodation and two new mobile phones. athlete, pigeon detectives, simian mobile disco and another as yet unconfirmed band are the guest for that show.

Iron and Whine fans must be loners like, exactly the same reason I got dragged up.

FYP  Afro

They're quality.  I'm a bit worried that if it's just a fiver it's just going to be a dj set rather than a Caribou show though.

Was just reading some of the reviews on Metacritic this morning.  Seems to be going down canny.  Love the Down. Tried for Foo's tickets last week.  Seen them a few times so wasn't fussed they'd sold out.
