1  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: How Bad is our defence on: Today at 03:14:29 AM
Boumsong for a long time now in my opinion has being playing poor, long before his family problems, it didn"t take me long to identify he was totally overpriced, and our manager did rangers a big favour.

But some of you clowns on here defended boumsong, to the point it was like the alamo for me, which of course i didnt mind cus it was your opinion.

If boumsong has such personal problems , and its a affecting his game, well im sorry but he really shouldn"t be anywhere near the club, let alone on the pitch.

Bramble on the other hand today was our best defender, but is and will always be prone to stupid errors, which will be highlighted by just about everyone, however he can play, so do we persevere or not, a decision someone in control has to make, and what was it with the liverpool fans with bramble today?

Finally, if our best defender on the books currently, Taylor, has been allowed to play today obviously not fit, someone with higher authority at our club should give souness what he deserves a , a bollocking, because you have a fully fit bramble, but doesn"t play him, and prefer to play a 70 percent fit taylor, which of course does wonders for brambles confidence.

Today we lost before we got onto the pitch, which is unexscuable, I"m ashamed to be associated with this club of ours, we don"t deserve to be humiliated like this.
2  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Would you loan out Boumsong? on: December 24, 2005, 06:26:29 AM
would really be interested to know some details of his families illness, but boumsongs problems stem from a lack of talent, and were pretty evident long before he had personal problems....get rid the sooner the better

I get the impression Boum is't settled tbh, maybe explains why he's been having a poor run of form

idle speculation on a sunday but.........

if you knew a BIG club was in for you and you had the chance for a lucrative move as an Xmas present but that the deal hinged on the buying club's under fire boss still being there at Xmas.....would you consider putting a penalty over the bar?

Rangers can have him for 8m, about the same we paid for that prick Boumsong, oops sorry french international.
How can you call him a prick? Did he come begging for a move to us, telling us how great he was? No he didn't, our manager and scouts thought he was a very good player, so don't call a model pro a prick just on the basis that he hasn't had the impact we expected.

It was a generalisation of the term prick, not to be taken as the personalisation version...mr touchy

14  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Bramble speaks on: November 30, 2005, 02:02:37 AM
Same old exscuses trotted out by another proffesional footballer, class footie players stand out in any team, whether their playing badly or not, and bramble and boumsong are not class footballers, taylor has shown with his performances that class is all you need.

The sooner someone realises that taylor and ramage are probably a better bet as a partnership than our 14m pairing, the sooner they"ll realise times not on their side.
15  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Kluivert on shearer on: November 28, 2005, 04:27:56 PM
Kluivert only has himself to blame for his own personal career, not Shearer, not no-one. Just himself. Had he kept in shape off the pitch, he would have played more. Does anyone seriously believe any manager would pick Ameobi ahead of a fully fit Kluivert?

He didn't do enough to say "I want a first-team place". He just expected it because of his name and reputation.

As for Shearer weilding too much power, of course he does, and the club have their reasons for that. One day he'll manage the club, his veins course with black & white blood, basically the club can pin their shirt on him and he won't let anyone down.

The question is, is his influence positive, or negative? Well lets look at on the field for starters, 197 goals in less than 400 games, suggests his influence is positive. Off it he's served this club well, making the club millions and all the youngsters look up to him and speak highly of him, ask Chopra, whom has basically had England's greatest striker of his generation helping him since a 14 year old bairn, the same goes for Shola, Taylor and other youngsters.

Shearer of course played a massive hand in getting Owen, Luque, Parker and Nobby here. Basically he's a club ambassador and is someone that can be trusted to deliver the goods on and off the pitch, he's a local lad, the fans love him, he's the future of the club.

It's a sheer myth that he runs things, if he did, would he have allowed Solano to leave? Speed, his big mate? Beattie would be here if Shearer really did run things.

He gets consulted and offers advice, but hey, wouldn't you ask someone like Shearer for advice on a footballing nature?

What the club have done that is wrong, is they have promoted this myth by flogging Shearer's name, naming a bar after him and basically alluding to the fact he has influence at St. James' Park.

They promote it and don't make any apologies.

Fans should stop reading between the lines and always thinking the worst. I trust Shearer 100%, at least he has the club's best interests at heart, unlike others.

No-one really knows Shearer, they just read what people like Kluivert, biased people, have to say and of course the Dutchman is going to peddle his crap because it sells, it absolves him of blame.

I was a fan of Kluivert and was one of those who thought he'd go on to make a big splash at St. James' Park. However, the size of his frame towards the end of his time here, was a shocking statement that he couldn't give a damn about NUFC, his game or his own fitness.

Shearer? The model professional, Kluivert isn't fit to lace his boots never mind speak ill of him.

Took the very words out me cakehole, sheare will wield his power and wont allow the likes of Bellamy, Robert , Dyer anywhere near the corridoors of SJP, can"t wait for it personally, could be our second coming

Very dissapointed to see shearer elbow weir, if it was other way around we"d be out for blood, IE: the Grimsby lad

19  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Owen faking injury... on: November 28, 2005, 04:05:17 PM
We would probably have won today like if Owen had been sat on the bench clapping his hands.

bluelaugh.gif i agree gemmsybaby. to suggest we need owen to travel is pretty stupid. id rather he rested at home.

plus, michael owen isnt the sort of player to fake injury... dyer mebbies, owen never

It's nothing to do with the result idiot boy, it's to do with the fact that we pay him stupid ammounts of money and he can't even be arsed to watch us when he's "injured".

idiot boy, not sure if your aiming your abuse at gemmil or me, but you're making yourself sound like a cock.
why take owen to the game when you could take a youngster for example, to gain experience.
when players are injured or suspended they rarely travel.

So why didn't Micky stay and watch the Chelsea game, as he had already travelled to London and then came home before it. Idiot boy.

would you go to work (or more likely, school) if you had been injured at work or school? say a broken arm... no you'd go on the sick.

fact.

He doesn't have a ****ing broken arm he has a slight strain and it's completely different, completely ****ing different to a 9-5 job it's a job in professional football so don't ever make that comparison again please. If I was a footballer and I had a strain but had already travelled to London, I'd stick around and watch the match! Like when Bellamy travelled to London and fell out with Souness, he didn't **** off home he sat on the sidelines! That's because Bellamy had time for the club and actually enjoyed watching this club play.

Don"t be soft lad nobody enjoys watching us tongue3
20  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Is Boumsong worse than O'Brien on: November 28, 2005, 03:42:40 PM
Well here i am defending Boumsong, well not really , but he"s certainly not as bad as O"Brien, well not yet anyway.

What i have great difficulty understanding is , how he plays for France, and how we got robbed of 8m quid.

I dont agree with some posts on here claiming Boumsong was great/ good/ rock etc. last season, he wasn"t, and continues to baffle me what Souness saw in him in the first place, and from little opposition from any other club suggests some sculldudgery somewhere along the line

You should here the pundits critisise him over here.

So we"ve got 2 cb that really aren"t cutting it, solution, well Taylor is certainly going to be top class, maybe give Ramage a crack at his favoured position, lets face it they really can"t be as bad as our 14m partnership.
