Sure we will - you're too good to go down, judging by Wednesday. I hope we're good enough to stay up - we're still on under 40 points, and until its mathematically impossible, I won't believe it. We're still a bit leaky, as you saw..
Done well though, have enough in the tank to attack, which is usually the problem for promoted teams, they dont have creativity or goalscorers. Think you've a few championship defenders though, and a piss poor keeper. (Sonko & Hahnemann need replacing asap) Those are things you can rectify in the xmas window, or even better the summer with another £12m in the bank for staying in the division. Good that your not taking your league position for granted (unlike Pardew who wins two games and thinks there on course for Europe, look at them now) , and not getting carried away, keep doing this and you'll easy stay up. At least they only have a few championship defenders. All of ours are. |

Kenny Wharton, who would have shovelled sh*t for the club.
I don't deny that, but I always thought he was a bit pap apart from the time when he sat on the ball when we were four nil up against Luton (I think) - great stuff! |

This is a tough one but I'll have to go to the era when we were truly pap.
George Reilly Billy Whitehurst Tony Cunningham Kevin Carr Kenny Wharton
All utterly dreadful footballers.
Since the start of the Keegan era I'd probably have to go for Disco Des. |

sadly couldnt attend the game yesterday due to work commitments (and also making stevie look like a complete joke). So everyone on heres attended every single home game this season then?
Making me look a complete joke? You're a mong of Michael Carroll proportions pal. You abuse the toon for getting 48,000, yet one week later Boro end sold out and there's 2,000 empty seats in the Spurs end, in their best home form in 20 years. Honest mate just go away you're shit, and you're using up bandwidth on here. Does lying just come naturally to you? Boro did not even nearly sell out there allocation you drunken hooligan. Quit lying its unhealthy. Returned 1183 to be exact. Having said that, there were still a few empties in east upper and west lower. What Newcastle fans can never wrap their heads around is the fact that our tickets cost about half as much again for some matches, twice as much in others. My ticket last night cost £42, to watch Newcastle at WHL costs £71. If the ticket prices at SJP were doubled, I wonder how many empty seats there would be then? You sit on a throne surrounded by lapdancers or something? It's because Spurs use a Category pricing system, we're in Cat A and Boro are in Cat C. £71 is f***ing ridiculous like. £71 quid is a bit steep like, even for London salaries. Given that their ground is in a total and utter dump of an area , I'm not surprised they don't sell out.
Still, quite why their moron fans come on here to have a jibe at us not selling out, I do not know.
London mackems tbh.

well he's already practically admited he dosent support spurs. How sad that some of you lot are still going on about us. Funny thing is, everyone seems to be avoiding the main point he's brought up which was, 'why are the best fans in the world not showing up to the games'? No, he didn't practically admit he doesn't support Spurs, he went a bit further than that by saying that he supports a team that's in the Champions League. Now that pretty much rules you fuckers out of all contention seen as you've never been anywhere near it. says a guy that supports a team that hasnt won absolutly nothing in over 50 years, is currently in a relegation scrap, has a back four that consists of carr, bramble, ramage, and babayaro and has a manager by the name of Roeder and a chairman that has previously insulted the whole of your city. Are you trying to make me cry? kinda, did it work? Your 6pts ahead of us, which is fuk all to be proud of. You've had a nice little revival under Jol (and last year you still managed to have the shortest season available to a EPL team), before that you were the joke of London for some ten years, so stop being so fuking cocky. Fuking Tottenham fans, the stinking foul disease of the internet football forums. Very true. Living and working in London as I do, I can confirm that the Spurs fans are the worst supporters out of all the teams down here.
They all have massive chips on their shoulder because of Arsenal and Chelsea. London mackems tbh. |

A truly dreadful footballer.
I chose my nickname to remind me that no matter how bad things are now, they'll never be as bad as when that big useless lump played for us.
Even at the top of his game, he wouldn't have looked out of place playing pub football.
We may have had some dross playing for us recently but none of them even come close to Big Billy's shiteness. |

Been exiled domestically in London for last 7 years. Finally gave up my season ticket this year as the club I play for down here insisted that I couldn't only turn up once every two weeks. Would rather play than watch the dross I had to put up with last season.
are you billy the midget? from over the way? Haven't got a clue what you're on about I'm afraid. |

i cant help compare italians and romanians. They basically have the same genes.
getting to know romanians has really put me off latin culture more than i disliked it anyway.
at the end of the day, latin people just dont tell the truth. They are very friendly if they think they will make money out of you, otherwise they dont give a toss / respect anglo saxons.
my advice....avoid the place.
A wind up surely?
If not, you are truly a sad case. |

The performance yesterday reminded me of performances under Souness, no discernible tactics and no real belief that they could get back into the game once they went down.
Surely, given how effective Bolton are from set peices, Roeder should have instructed the players not to give away silly free-kicks but we did this time after time. This is basic stuff and we just played into their hands. We just look so disjointed at times and really don't look like a team. |

I have always thought that the end of season DVD should have a montage of some of our defending and I can't help thinking that the Benny Hill theme tune would be somehow appropriate. Perhaps the camera could then pan to Dougie Hall repeatedly slapping Freddie Shepherd's bald head.

Don't think Sidwell would move to someone where he isnt going to be playing first team football tbh. Dunno why he wants to leave Reading anyways. They're flying at the moment and have more or less made him the player he is today. It would appear on the face of it he is a greedy c*nt
Nowt wrong with the lad wanting to further his career with a move to a bigger club tbh. Don't forget he started at Arsenal, so he's probably always considered Reading as something of a stepping stone to better things. There's still a good chance Reading will be down amongst the relegation candidates come the end of the season. But to it by letting your contract run out is the worst way to go about things in my opinion as it will deny Reading a fee, if he has this clause in his contract anyway surely there is no need for him to let it run out. IMO Reading will finish above City this season. Why is letting your contract run out going about it the wrong way? Reading offered him a contract for a fixed amount of time and he signed it. By letting it run down, he is merely honouring that contract. |

I actually feel very sorry for the guy. Nobody on here can tell me that he'd rather be injured than playing. The fact is some people are more prone to injuries than others.
Surely our crap medical staff must take part of the blame for rushing him back time after time.
I for one think he makes a massive difference to the team when he plays. He brings real urgency to our play. One of our best players in my opinion.
I'm by no means saying that we've had anything near our money's worth but its not all Dyer's fault. The countless threads on what a parasite he is are pretty sad. |

Can anyone remember pre-Souness when we were capable of pulling a game around from going a goal behind? Can anyone remember the one player who epitomised the effort and ability we had in turning it around?
So, now can someone tell me how many games we've turned around since Bellamy departed? Not that for 1 moment would I suggest Bellamy is your typical captains material but the wankfest that has surrounded Wales drubbing is bordering on the pathetic - even .com showing a bitterness above and beyond the call of duty.
Too true. Far rather have him in my team than play against him. Unpleasant as he may be, he is a real competitor and an asset to the teams he plays in. |
