The wallowing in it is one thing, but anyone who suggests Hillsborough was the fault of the Liverpool fans is way, way off the mark. Heysel was, yes, Hillsborough wasn't.
I guess there's a whole generation of fans now who have grown up with all seater stadia and never known what it was often like in standing days - I've been in loads of situations on packed terraces where I really thought people were going to die. The really surprising thing about Hillsborough is that it didn't happen sooner, tbh.
EDIT although, slightly different circumstances, but it did happen before, at Ibrox. |

Hughes' main failings ...
1. Every match, without fail, he will drop a clanger which WILL present a goalscoring chance to the opposition. I can't remember the last time this didn't happen. 2. He is at times lazy, I've lost count of how many times I've seen him need to just stick a leg out to clear, and he doesn't. looks suspiciously like he can not be bothered. 3. He stands off his man far, far too much, and when he does put the tackle in, he usually mistimes woefully. 4. When up against any decent player, he invariably gets pulled all over the place. 5. He has no pace. 6. He loses concentration far too frequently.
in his defence, he can cross a ball pretty well. He just never gets in a position to be able to do so.
It says a lot that MON prefers to play an out of position CB at RB, even when Hughes is fit. |

Villa play 1 up and 2 wide as well, he'd fit into that system better than ours, believe that's his naturally suited formation, the one he was in at Depor.
Well, we did until Luke Moore got injured. Either way, he *must* be better than Milan Baros, who doesn't even have the scoring statistics to hint that he is a decent player.
The "chance" Luque has been given at Newcastle is so skimpy as to barely merit being described as such. |

Anyone surprised he's not gone yet?
Thought a loan deal might of happened by now.
I'd take him on loan to Villa. Seriously. I can't believe a good player becomes a bad one so quickly. |

Saw this on Football365 and started to wonder...
O'Neill is keen to strengthen his back four and right-back Bardsley's arrival would allow former skipper Olof Mellberg to revert to his preferred role in the centre of defence.
But it could put a question mark over the future of Northern Ireland skipper Aaron Hughes, who has struggled to regain his place after recovering from injury.
Anyone see Aaron Hughes on for a possible return to us?
I fecking hope so, mate, I really do. |

If something doesn't change soon, then in about 10 games time, I might be tempted to post the words "Stiliyan Petrov" to this thread.
£8m wasn't it? Ouch. Decent player but no more than that. Worth about £3m. Excellent for three games, anonymous since. |

Dawson, you might be getting confused with the Moore's, Villa had Stefan Moore for ages and he was meant to be promising, but when he turned out shit they moved on to Luke Moore being promising - which he is, in all fairness, he has more Premiership hat tricks than you do.
Stefan Moore is Luke Moore's brother. Kingdawson thinks that as Stefan Moore didn't make it, that makes his brother shite as well. No im just saying that villa fans were going on about Steffen being the best thing since slice bread yet he ended up shite and you lot havent apparantly learnt from your mistakes and are now bigging up luke who will probably be sold of to bradford come the beginning of next season. Excellent puerile line of reasoning there. Don't bother replying, you're clearly on a wind-up mission. |

i saw him on "Cribs" on MTV once. Lives in a little 3 or 4 bed house that you or I might live in. Drives a Corsa or something. Seriously.
very modest bloke, doesn't sound like he'd be a problem around the squad, far from it |

I was comparing them as a group and how long have villa fans been describing Moore as a "promising player"??
Luke Moore is 20 years old, mate, get a grip ffs. You seem to have managed to entirely missed the point. I was pointing out that Defoe is not nearly prolific or not for the money mentioned for him, which has precisely nothing to do with Spurs having better strikers than Villa, or Villa's options up front being shite.
Which in turn has nothing to do with Newcastle, so stop your irrelevant whining and leave them to it. |

Add 36 substitute appearances for spurs, 33 for spammers and 2 for Bournmouth. Still a great record whatever way you decide to look at it. Bit rich of a Villa fan to go on about other teams strikers "not scoring enough goals" dont you think?
I know our strikers are woeful, you numbskull, i was talking about Defoe not being prolific because we are being linked with him. woeful is an understatement. Tbh Birmingham city have a better batch of strikers then you. Jerome, Bendtner, Mcsheffery, campbell >>>>>>>>>> Baros, sutton, moore and own goal. Mate, telling a Villa fan that we have a striker problem is like telling a Toon fan they're sometimes a bit dodgy at the back.
Although you're pushing it to say that Campbell is better than anyone we have. And Moore is an excellent, highly promising player, he's injured. And Bendtner is only on loan from Arsenal. |

Its a well known fact that Barry is a spurs fan and if the money is right im pretty sure you'd accept regardless of Lerner's millions.
Billions, not millions.
And where do you get this from? Did a 12 year old post it on gg? You truly are a fool. If Barry were to leave us at some point, it certainly wouldn't be to the fourth biggest club in London
And as for Defoe, you can keep him. Runs around a lot, doesn't score enough. All fart and no shit. Much like your supporters. |

I prefer Crouch instead of Bent if they cost the same amount of money just because we need some tall striker who can hold the ball and can play in the air Just my humble opinion Bent is a much, much better player than Crouch. Cliche I know, but it is true, for a big man, Crouch really isn't that good in the air. |

Looks like defoe may be off to Villa with Bent comming in.
Why? Defoe is in form and not injured. Stupid change IMO. Think i agree with you tbh. Other reports are saying that Keane will be off to villa in a swap deal with Barry and Bent will be Keane's replacement. Think i like this deal better.
If Spurs fans think Barry will be going anywhere, then they're even more deluded than I imagined. You've got to be joking.
We desperately need new players in, and we've got plenty of money, why on earth would be sell our best player, who signed a new 4 year contract 4 months ago?
EDIT I see where you've got that now, some numpty on gg posting his fantasy move in reply to you. "Reports" my arse. |

Due to previously made plans that fell through etc we're staying in a hotel at the south of the city on Friday night, which is near the Shirley train station. Then getting the train from there to Boardesley, then walking to the ground from there. Should be alright.
Do your drinking in Solihull, plenty of bars to choose from, then train it from there to Bordesley. Shirley is right on the southern edge of the city.
