1  Football / NUFC / Re: Who the f*** is David Templeton and why are we rumored to be interesred in him on: December 27, 2006, 06:52:26 PM
Small lightweight Stenny striker who is highly rated. He has plenty pace but is very lightweight. Seen him a few times against Berwick and he hasnt scored. Usually scores against the weaker teams in Division 3, but he doesnt even start all of the time. In my opinion, he is no better than Danny Swanson who we have at Berwick. Hull and Forest are after him. If we can get Templeton cheap then he might be worth taking a chance on, but I cant see him making it in the Prem personally. Would like to be wrong though.

Taylor and Ramage seem to be building a solid yes solid partnership too...must be good for the future also!!

There are our best two centre defenders and should be first choice. Bramble and Moore arent good enough.

It appeals to the slackjawed idiots who appear every time Sky are reporting around the ground. For example - "Where gonna win the league now like" after signing Owen.

that was NSG  Laughing

Simply terrible that a chairman supports his manager and players like  blueconfused.gif

You've completely missed the point! (Again!)

This is another example of Shepherd voicing his small minded parochialism. Shepherd seems to believe that Geordies are a sort of super race much like Hitler believed that a pure German Aryan race would one day rule the world. He's on record saying that ideally he'd want a team of Geordies managed by a Geordie manager.

It's utterly pathetic and continues to make NUFC a laughing stock!

Its you that is missing the point.

It is irrelevant.

I don't consider we will be a laughing stock when we play in europe again soon - again. We were however a laughing stock when we spent decades struggling to even stay in the top league or the 2nd division, losing to utter shite teams that we shouldn't even be playing, selling our best players, and playing in front of sub 20,000 crowds.

I consider us to be more of a laughing stock wasting millions and millions, with a thick chairman, always making the wrong choices, than being a normal Division 2 club living within our means.
7  Football / NUFC / Re: Bramble in hospital after scare on: December 13, 2006, 05:28:01 PM
Hopefully he will be sold as soon as he gets back to "fitness".
8  Football / NUFC / Re: Stupid Idiotic Blabbermouth (aka Shepherd) at it again on: December 13, 2006, 05:25:50 PM
It's like you can only be a real Newcastle fan if you are a Geordie. The chairman is an utter prick. I would love to know if anyone falls for this geordie (us and them) crap that he keeps spouting. "if he's a geordie then he must be class like!" It appeals to the slackjawed idiots who appear every time Sky are reporting around the ground. For example - "Where gonna win the league now like" after signing Owen.

You don't hear Man Utd going on about Fergie having all the qualities of a Manc, or Liverpool talking about scouse Benitez.
9  Football / NUFC / Re: Bolton Tickets on: December 10, 2006, 10:08:57 PM
rang the box office non Friday to see whether I'd got the tickets I'd applied for.  was told that they haven't been given out yet but I would definitely get them and any extra tickets I'd asked for.  sounds like there should be plenty left for a general sale.

Cheers for the reply. I hope so like. Been looking forward to it and would be pretty gutted were it to be sold out before general sale.
10  Football / NUFC / Bolton Tickets on: December 10, 2006, 01:07:23 PM
Anyone any idea how many we sold, and if they are going on general sale? Ive been waiting for nearly a week now since the season ticket deadline and still no word on the official site or nufc.com.
11  Football / NUFC / Re: Scottish Cup draw on: December 10, 2006, 01:01:40 PM
We were watching it in The Black and Gold after our brilliant 2-0 victory yesterday. Everyone was just laughing, typical Scottish football!!

Still though, they gave a good draw to Berwick so im happy. bluebiggrin.gif

14  Football / NUFC / Re: Mackems Shame the North East Again! on: December 07, 2006, 10:27:52 AM
If I saw that video on Limewire then I would be none the wiser that they were Sunderland players. The only mackem player I recognise now is Yorke.

<This is the Berwick Rangers one we got made. 12ft x 6ft. Only £152 for that though.

Looks class that does JJ7, should have gotten an English flag instead of the Union Jack one and see what the rest of the teams of your league made of it! Wink
Laughing They don't like us very much anyway.

18  Football / NUFC / Re: Titus wants to stay on: November 30, 2006, 03:19:51 PM
He is proberbly the worst central defender in the Premiership who gets a regular game. I believe if he was foreign he would have been sold long ago. It's time we got rid. The whole defence is a problem, but for me, Taylor is the only defender we should be looking to keep long term.
19  Football / NUFC / Re: Where to watch in Edinburgh? on: November 23, 2006, 02:35:20 PM
Ive watched a few games in the sports bar near Waverley Station.

uefa games?

Na sorry. It was the Charlton and Sheff Utd Saturday night games on my way back from watching Berwick Rangers. There are loads of screens though and ive no doubt they would put Newcastle on at least one for you. There will proberbly be a few folk wanting to watch it.
