dont waste the money get dagoberto
Dagoberto is great but he's amazingly injury prone.
Get Lasse Qvist and Sherman Cardenas for less than £5mil for the pair. Both can score goals for fun. |

Nice image, but I'd rather the fat man didn't have a scapegoat available to make everything OK again.
Roeder isn't the right man for the manager's job, but Freddy will sacrifice him in a heartbeat to save his own skin. Leave Roeder out of it for the time being. Target Freddy.
Ona completely unrelated matter, a few years ago we made a deal with NTL to sell the club to them should Sky buy Man Ure. If Freddy was happy to sell the club to NTL, why is he so unwilling to sell now? |

It's easy, I would start from a list of ex-international managers who are coming to the end of their club football invlolvment. Guys between 50-60 ideally, who understand the European scene and have a good contact base from their management days. I'd say there are 15-20 candidates out there right now.
Um, you just described Sven-Göran Eriksson and Berti Vogts.
I'd be very unhappy with Eriksson as manager since I'm not sure that he knows what he's doing on the pitch, but as DOF he would probably be perfect. I imagine that his wages might be a problem though. |

Been listening to the Teamtalk debate this afternoon about FS's bid to get £20m from the FA for little mikey's poorly knee. One of the presenters reckons that if NUFC wins then it will be the end of international football and that we are taking money from little clubs. I can't recollect the presenters name - something Parry i think - but what a miserable get he is! I think the £20m is a tad over the top but we should be getting some compensation from the FA - wages ? What do others think Not much hyperbole there then.
If we do win the case all it will mean, aside from the English FA having to pay out this one time, is that international FA's will have to properly insure the players before games. I can't think of any other business where an asset can be demanded on a temporary basis (with penalties for refusal) where there is no come back if that asset is later returned damaged or broken.
Even if this case doesn't go anywhere it won't be too long before another similar case is won by the club involved. |

Now I wonder how Bramble will react and play if he is made the captain of NUFC ?
Would he even notice? |

90% of the club's problems stem from the board room. Look at the transfer policies of the board:
We have a poor season = throw massive amounts of cash at the problem We have an good season = we're obviously good enough, no extra cash is required
The situation with the defence is almost understandable - we lost Owen in the summer and desperately required cover up front. But FS should have attempted to find enough cash to shore up other areas too, if insurance is covering Owen's wages whilst he's injured then that cash should have been made available to fund the wages of players like Campbell who were available for free.
FS's (and SJH's before him) obsession with having a "Geordie club" is crippling the club. It leads to us signing players (and coaches) who may not be good enough for the club, but will apease some fans since they're locals. It leads us to be linked with managers like Steve Bruce whose only qualification for the job is that he was born in the area.
I don't care where they come from, I don't give a s**t if they're not a Geordie, if they can improve the club that's enough. |

Bramble desperately needs someone who shouts and bawls at him the whole game to keep him on his toes. A player who can read the game well and make sure that the defence is well organised.
Man Utd had it in Peter Schmeichel who would bark orders at his back 4 until red in the face. We used to have a player like that in Woodgate, he could read the game and organize the defence brilliantly. Unfortunately as far as I can tell the only player we currently have who likes to bark orders to other defenders is Peter Ramage, and he's no Woodgate.
Maybe Roeder should start forcing Bramble to play wearing a radio & earphones so Roeder can tell him what to do at every point in the game.
Newcastle aint there to baby sit Bramble, He is meant to be a professional. No argument from me there. I'm just trying to think of what the club could do to make the best of a bad situation |

Ramage at left back.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
And where's Duff?
EDIT: Damien Duff was missing with a slight thigh strain
I'd far prefer to see Bramble at left-back with Ramage staying in the centre. I feel that they'd do less damage there. |

Self-obsessed prick.
Noticed in yesterday's game he seemed more gutted about missing a piss-easy chance than pleased that his team-mate knocked in the rebound.
Absolutely right. I'm irritated that there are STILL Newcastle fans gormless enough to believe this lying Welsh trouble making charver turd. The only thing I agree with is the ludicrous £3.75 mill fee. Shepherd strikes again..... Difficult to blame FS for the low fee - Souness spent months slagging the guy off and declaring that he'd never play for the club again. If you want a high fee you tell people how good he is and how he's a credit to the game, Souness basically said that he was a complete t**t who he didn't want near the club.
Thanks to Souness being an egotistical s**t we were probably lucky to get what we did for him |

Who scored the goals?
Hat-trick by Carl Finnigan and a 90th minute winner by James Troisi Lie-a-riffic tbh I'll assume NUFC.com are mistaken then
with two minutes remaining Finnigan completed his hat-trick
