Is it really true that Maradona's playing?
2  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Andy Johnson Signing tomorrow on: May 24, 2006, 12:16:35 AM
Jordon is living in cloud cookoo land (again), I wish drug tests would extend to chairman as well as players as he has definitely been smoking the shit

At Dowie's press conference his tan was browner than Garth Crooks

Would be fucking awesome

Can't see it though
4  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Andy Johnson Signing tomorrow on: May 23, 2006, 11:29:48 PM
Its Wigan he's going to. Expect "confirmation" within the hour when we start seeing early editions of tommorows papers, though.

Fair play to them. Takes a bit of balls spending £8.5m on him, after only 1 season in the premiership.

Amazed
5  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: You are all completely DELUDED on: May 23, 2006, 10:57:45 PM
Stadium of Light it doesn't get more delusional than that tbh

Disdain has he left City yet
8  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Kuyt on: May 23, 2006, 05:44:29 PM
Get him signed Glenn. We need to get him before the World Cup, where his price will go through the roof. Don't let this one slip.

100% Yes!

I agree!

I think he will go to Man Utd to replace RVN.

You thought he was staying at Feyenoord the other week...

He's just bitter cos he turned them doon   :)

Kuyt says

Quote
"Now, I'd rather play in England. I love English football. I also think my style of play is completely right for The Premiership.

"A club like Newcastle would be my dream."

Kuyt would arrive in The Premiership with cast-iron credentials after hitting at least 20 goals in each of the past four seasons.

There are a few clubs like Newcastle (big, above average) - Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal. Newcastle is just an example, not exactly the club he really wants.

Yeah but then he went on to say something about love to play in the north east (if the quotes are to be believed).

So he was talking specifically about playing for us and not a club like us
12  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Kuyt on: May 22, 2006, 11:57:39 PM
Aye we need to know if these are up to date quotes or if it's just a rehash of what we've already heard

Looks promising though
13  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Kuyt 'toon would be my dream' on: May 22, 2006, 05:31:29 PM

Honestly this is the most ridiculous post I've seen on Newcastle Online. My grandma god rest her soul, was from Tipperary in Central Ireland, I have other pockets of the family from all over Ireland, from Donegal, from County Kerry and Wexford, so why the **** would I say anything anyone would deem racist about Irish people or Ireland. Some Liverpool fan had his two penneth about Newcastle being a mediocre club, so I gently had mine about Liverpool. I could've said a lot more, but it's just banter. Now for you to say "plastic Irish day trippers" is racist, says more about you than it does about me. According to you the phrase "Cockney day trippers" (At Old Trafford) is racist too.

Unfortunately, Kuyt and his agent won't know this background information, if they happen to read it that is.

Oh dear

FUBAR mate, totally FUBAR. (the whole convo)

What's FUBAR mean?

Fuked Up Beyond All Recognition

Hope Watford do it

Was very impressed with them in the semi against Palace especially Marlon King

Have had a good bet at 6/4 on them to win in 90 mins.
15  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Kuyt 'toon would be my dream' on: May 21, 2006, 02:25:16 PM
25 i think.

Aye he'll be 26 in July
16  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Kuyt 'toon would be my dream' on: May 21, 2006, 01:17:48 PM
Don't think this has been posted

Professional League Goal-Scoring Record:

98-99 FC Utrecht 28 matches, 5 goals
99-00 FC Utrecht 33 matches, 6 goals
00-01 FC Utrecht 32 matches, 12 goals
01-02 FC Utrecht 34 matches, 7 goals
02-03 FC Utrecht 34 matches, 20 goals
03-04 Feyenoord 34 matches, 20 goals
04-05 Feyenoord 34 matches, 29 goals
05-06 Feyenoord 33 matches, 22 goals

Is not injury prone either

From March 2001 (F.c. Utrecht) until April 2006 (Feyenoord) Kuijt has played every match avaiable with his team, resulting in a playing streak of 179 matches
