NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Official: Roeder Allowed To Manage Until Season Ends
|

| I would like to know who the new manager is going to be although the difference between now and the end of the season isn't really that big of a deal. What is though is how this delay, or the fact that we don't have a long term manager in place is going to effect our presence in the transfer market. If we don't know who the new man is going to be would any potential target know? Would someone sign for a club not knowing who the manager is? Do we want FS hand picking the targets with no imput from the man who is going to be managing them next summer? |

NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Whats ONeill like as a Manager?
|
on: March 27, 2006, 11:34:30 PM

| I am all for fast silky football and the ability to compete against the top teams in the premier league, but if you picture those top teams as Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool, that is only eight games in the season, if we build a team that can match against those, but struggles to fight it out and battle in the other 30 games we won't be in a very great position. I would prefer Hitzfeld but O'Neill is in my top three and from what people say and what I've seen of his teams they would probably be able to do a bit of both. I'm sick of seeing us play like world beaters against the top teams and then get turned over by teams that on paper we should handle with ease. |

| Although I am firmly in the Hitzfeld camp, I just think that it is amazing that so shortly after Souness that we are even possibly that close to someone of the quality of MON. Two weeks ago, I would have honestly taken a loaf of bread as over Souness and now we possibly have these two amazing candidates to take us into the future. Even though I personally would prefer Hitzfeld I would throw my entire support behind MON or whoever takes over.....except maybe Bruce. :tongue3: |

NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Who would you have in a 25 man squad next year?

| I agree with a lot of the suggestions on here but the only thing that I would be worried about is getting rid of too many players without bringing the replacements in. Buy first and then sell off some of the dead wood. I'm interested to see Milner come back and would absolutely love Gudjohnsen to come in. He would link amazingly with Owen. But most imnportantly buy players that will fill needs as opposed to buying them for the sake of buying them. |

| I have to agree with all the thoughts in this thread, especially Toon's Taylor, it freaked me out the first time I saw it but now I honestly miss the bird. |

As an American I must admit there are quite a few of us who are incredibly thick, but please don't judge us all on a few, well more than a few, bad examples. Actually now that I think of it, can I come live with you guys?
Pay no attention to Kager he lives in Orange County. :tongue3: nothing at all wrong with that Thanks johnnypd, glad I can get some support |

| I am also a huge fan of the man and all he accomplished, but i just have one question. If he sees himself as a teacher, does that mean we will start using tactics and systems if he comes aboard, because as you know those ridiculous things are only for teachers. :tongue3: |

| Just a second. Where the F**k is our reaction. Its all well and good for some other team to get beat in a horribly humiliating fashion and then react strongly in the next game, but I'm still waiting for our players, our manager to step up and show some sort of reaction after a series of subpar results. We've been hurt enough to be the wounded animal and if Fulham is so dangerous then we need to get out at them and put them down, kill them early not wait for them to strike at us. I realise that Fulham lost but to Orient for God's sakes, surely we can handle a team that has recently gotten beat. a team taht we are supposed to be so much better than. |

| What does anyone think of the Serbia & Montengro v. Ivory Coast game? I have tickets and just wanted to know. Shame it wasn't Ivory Coast v Holland, as i would have rather seen the Dutch. |
