Also yes (to whoever asked before), i would of started Forster ahead of Pav simply as we know Pav isn't good enough, and Forster's career is just beginning, Pav's is ending (in fact it ended some time ago)
Its the same for me over starting Hunty of Carr or Babayaro. We all know them two tools arn't good enough, i'd much rather give a young lad a game and a chance of making himself a squad player.
Forster is shit. Really shit. I'd play Cook above Forster. |

And as for slating Glenn for signing Pav, well F*** off with that as well, he was signed as cover and it pure bad luck that the poor sod has even had to play.
What kind of management is that? Signing a player who we pray doesn't get forced into playing a game... Shouldn't have been signed - fact. I ain't actually seen the goal so i'm not slating Pav for that, i'm sure it probably was Ramage's fault. I'm just expressing my opinion on Srnicek. Probably? Have you seen it like, mate? How can you be sure of anything? Quite special, you. Never said i was sure of anything tbf. I was giving my opinion on the signing of Pav. You have trouble reading my posts. It's odd. Are you f***ing thick, you said this:
'i'm sure it probably was Ramage's fault'

I got rid of the games, I really just buy them, have a few go's, and take them to Graingers. Aye, I live locally, Shields way, but I've got a car, so I can get anywhere within reason, really.
I just never use it, and it's just a waste sitting there, really. |

Nice one.
Hmm, seems a bit of a hassle getting the duck-eggs from Sky back around again. You reckon I could just get away with buying a DVD recorder with a large hardrive? |

Hello lads, just a quick question. I have Sky, with the top package, and I'm going to buy a Sky plus box in a few days, because my old standard box is shite, and it's on its way out. Do I have to inform Sky that I'm getting a new box, do they have to activate the 'plus' or anything?
P.S, Can you buy one of these boxes in your average electronics store like Curry's etc, or do you have to get them directly from Sky.
Cheers lads. |

Football / NUFC / Re: Roeder IS the right man for THIS Newcastle United

A couple more things.. Even though we all know actions are more important than words, some of the things that Roeder says can be extremely contradictory. He should just talk less. If he didn't talk so much during the transfer window, I'm sure most of the fans would understand how we ended with Sibierski in the end (not that I'm complaining ) but because he kept on yapping about '3 signings this week' etc. etc. it created immense frustration when we ended up with a washed-up defender and a Man City reserve. Furthermore, when he says things like he won't play anyone who isn't 100% fit then after every game that Shola plays, he says 'he's playing with an injury, he's a brave lad who cares about the club' etc. That is seriously annoying. Some of the things he says are in fact things that I'd like to hear a manager say, such as 'injuries aren't an excuse', but there are so many other things that he says, which he shouldn't at all. Maybe the thought they were in the bag, but something came up? |

Football / NUFC / Re: Taylor and Ramage.

Anyone think Huntington looks potentially a significantly better defender than Ramage? From his very brief appearances, Huntington seems to read any danger alot earlier than Ramage.
Maybe thats our long term partnership. Taylor and Huntington, with Ramage as backup.
He's an exciting talent. Seen plenty of Huntington over the past couple of seasons, and I've always been impressed with him. In the academy, he was such a classy defender, and It just seemed easy for him. I remember quite a few games when me and Mosley just raved about him all the way through. Can't wait until he cements a place in our back four, although he's a centre-back, he's young enough to learn these wider positions, and do well in them. Great to hear. I hate to say this, and I know its totally getting carried away with just a handful of first team appearances - but the way Huntington defends reminds me of Woodgate. He positions himself well, hes very quick in reading the situation, fast into the tackle, doesnt panic, and on top of that is tall and skinny - I remember Woodgate when he first broke into the Leeds first team, and I honestly dont see such a big difference between the two - apart from reputation. Or maybe im just missing us having a defender of Woodgate's calibre around, so am clutching at straws and anything else that looks remotely like him because I want to see Woody playing for us again. It's funny you said that mate, it was actually said by a group of lads on here at Ewood Park, when he made his debut. No smoke without fire and all that! |

Just seen the thread - and there are three or four VERY long posts that i genuinely just can't be bothered to go through. I'll probably read the first couple later on. But i'll give my opinion of Roeder, in a nutshell.
Didn't like the appointment, and still don't - we should have appointed someone far better, someone qualified at the very least. You could say that that's not Roeder's fault, but he should have stood by what he said in the first place and turn down the permanent managers job, and left Newcastle as a hero. Instead, he's likely to leave having achieved a couple of h alf decent mid-table finishes, and nowt much else. I didn't buy the 'he earnt it' theory - that was a lame cover up cos we just couldn't afford anyone else, or no one wanted it. He's an average-to-bad manager who'll do nowt with us.
Of course, i'm hoping i'm totally wrong, but being completely honest - that's just what i think.
In regards to the short term, i'm not calling for his head - i think he should be given until the end of the transfer window, and probably till the end of the season at the very least. Give him a year in the job minimum, like i said with Souness aswell. I'd love to see him do well. But another shocking transfer window, and an 11th-17th place will have me posing some very strong questions.
Preparing for the future with another managerial change...? Maybe you should read the f***ing post, deconstruct, and challenge things with facts and figures, instead of getting your f***ing crystal ball out, and giving a manager 'to the end of the transfer window'. Truly the words of someone that doesn't have a f***ing clue, tbh. Honestly, I don't understand what you want from the team at the moment, even despite our current mediocre position, I'm ten times as happy as this time last year, and so should every other fucker. We're a club on the up, but it's going to take time, quite a number of years, at least. I said i didn't read the post. I just gave my opinion on Roeder. I should have made that more clear. You should read my post... i never said i wanted a managerial change. I said he should be given a year at the very least. "f***ing." I did read your post, I was telling you to read the f***ing post, before you respond to it. |
