1  General Discussion / General Chat / Forget Lennon and McCartney on: Today at 02:06:59 AM
Quote
FORGET LENNON and McCARTNEY — there’s a new songwriting duo in town.

JAMES BLUNT has called on the talents of ex-BUSTED boy JAMES BOURNE to help pen his second album.

James and, er, James jetted out to enjoy a bit of sunshine together in the Caribbean last month and to focus on the follow-up to Back To Bedlam.

I just hope Mr Blunt doesn’t adopt the Busted look and start wearing awful short trousers.

Because for Gazza, Shearer & Thompson, now read McClen, Ameobi & Chopra.

McClen - never given a decent run in the side, despite impressing.

Ameobi - perennial sub. 20 mins here, 15 mins there. Then people complain when he scores when he's started.. Rolling Eyes

Chopra - England youth international. Farmed out on loan by managers who don't rate him any higher than Luque.

Let's not mention Carrick though eh? wullie

What's so funny?

I think it's a fucking tragedy!! wullie

McClen's shit  Laughing

Ameobi's a donkey  Laughing

Chopra got his chance in the first team too late for me.

McClen was never given a decent run in the side. FACT.
Were you calling him a donkey when he put 2 past the Mackems? Sat on your hands did you? Thought not.
So we agree on Chopra?

Laughing Surely you're on a wind up?

Laughing Kerr was actually a good player though. He never played in the middle where he naturally plays. Everytime i watched him for the reserves and Scotland U21's i was impressed. He got a bad injury though so i dunno how he's doing now. He was definitely head and shoulders above the likes of McClen though.
12  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Today's Training Pics on: Yesterday at 10:55:19 PM
Imagine how much we could save on fee's if it was 1996 and we had Shearer and Ferdinand at their peak

16  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Owen out for 5 months!! on: June 21, 2006, 01:38:49 PM
I have a bad feeling that he is going to be a different player when he comes back. No way is he coming back from this with all of his pace.

18  NUFC Discussion / NUFC Forum / Re: Owen out for 5 months!! on: June 21, 2006, 12:53:04 PM
It would be typical is he loses his pace now. Shearer got the injury after his first year at Newcastle and lost some pace. Looks like Owen's got a serious one. He might have to adjust his game now when he comes back.
