I may be wrong here but didn't Emres debut come the season after Souness left? I'm certain it wasn't Souness in charge.
As to him giving youth a go compared to Robson, at Newcastle Souness' policy is to buy experience, Robsons policy was to buy talented youth.
Souness has given Ramage a chance, Robson gave debuts to the likes of Brittain, Taylor, Chopra, Ameobi (and would have no doubt given more if our academy was producing anyone of note at the time).
I bet Deco would have liked to have been given a chance at Benfica but Souness chose to replace him with an aging Michael Thomas ffs.
I'm not saying Souness doesnt give youth a go (that would be ridiculous considering the likes of Duff and Dunn at blackburn) but I just cannot understand how you came to the conclusion that Robson was less keen than Souness on fielding younger players. Bizzare.
