You should check out the big 4. They're usually on top for treating employees.
If you mean big 4 accountancy. PwC are shit. Motivation within the firm is shocking.
IMO Investors in People is just a big con to get staff working to company objectives. |

5 days into the transfer window. Huh this thread came a little later than I expected. FFS we're at January 5th. The transfer window hasn't even been open a week. Wait another 3 weeks and if we still haven't signed anyone, then post the kinda thing you just have.
The same was said in the Summer.
Not expecting much activity, but expect at least one on loan and one permanent buy by the 31st |

What amuses me about this post us that he contradicts himself. First off he says we are not going to sign anyone then he says expect last minute freebees and loans. I'd rather they didn't piss our money away and spent it wisely. Neither Fred nor Roeder have promised us anything.
I meant permanent, long-term signings, not token gestures and desperate stop-gaps I'd be delighted with an d'Alessandro type 'stop gap' that Pompy got last season |

We should sign him and play him up front with Dyer.
'And the Toon strikers today are Bent and Dyer'
Almost as good as when Curry and Rice played from Forest |

I've been reading through the news this morning and it seems quite clear that we're about the witness Part 2 of 'Glenn and Freddy's' devious 'lie to the fans to keep them from the truth' campaign. The plain truth is simply this: THERE IS NO MONEY!! There never was, cos we blew it all last year!! Glenn: "There aren't any quality players..."; "We may need to loan more players..." Freddy: "Munch, munch, munch..." We've been led to believe that we're gonna sign players this January. Expect another last minute free transfer swoop and a couple of loan deals... Unnacceptable. The kids are playing well, but ffs, we're Newcastle United here, we're bigger than that!
And we could have had Campbell / Woodgate. F**king shocking. I'd be delighted if we finish the season in the top half of the table... One a free transfer, the other a loan I believe |

Always thought it would be funny if someone somehow managed to get through life not finding out, their face on their first Christmas away from home would be a peach.
About 7 btw |

indigoon is right and if it's too fizzy or too much foam then it's because it's a new barrel. Depending on the brand, there's some beer that will be lost.
The fizz and 'tang' on a new pint or bottle is the C02 in the drink (also the puff of 'smoke' that comes off a cold bottle when opened). Its why the bottom of a pint/bottle tastes a bit sweeter than the top, lack of C02.
Its more apparent in the European bottle beers |

General / Chat / Christmas break up / Best train journey ever!

Fun and games on the 6:45 Llanelli to Swansea journey today.
Guy with a comedy ringtone (and very loud voice) having the mother of all barneys with his missus down the phone.
Gist of it was that he had been working until 2, then gone to TESCO to get some last minute present fillers for her family and lugged himself on to a train for a 6 hour journey to Manchester. Only problem was that his missus wanted an extra 5 minutes in bed and missed her connecting train to Cardiff and he would have to wait for 3 hours for her at said station.
3 phone calls in the expletive deletives were flying, she was a stupid fat cow and there was no way he was waiting for her. Basically told her he was going to turn round and go to spend christmas with his parents and she could swivel.
One further phone call, he told her she could pick her stuff up from hi in the new year, he never wanted to see her again and she could go **** herself.Opened a bottle of whiskey (from TESCO), quick swig and then got off at Swansea to get the next train back west.
Better entertainment than Reggie and Ferne on radio 1 I tell ya. |

Info leaked by the club to try and drive the share price up and get more cash out of the intrested parties. It's a case of when Fat Fred leaves rather than if, by the looks of it.
not something leaked by one of the buying parties to try and put an under pressure board under more pressure. "oh my a piece of nufc news, how can i look at this in a negative way with absolutly no evidence" bet you thought the rooney bid was a lie eh? Not looking at it in a negative way, i'm using common sense. Something which you lack, fuckwit. problem with common sense is it's not very common yet everyone thinks they have it. thanx for the name calling hurt me soooo much and wasn't witty. Never attempted to be witty, just honest. Don't know what you expected. You jumped on a completely innocent comment by me and read it completely out of context. I really can't see how what I said was negative, you care to explain? how's it a completly innocent comment.you suggest they are acting illegally(put that in print and they could sue),like many on here you appear to look for the negative.in what context did you mean it? How's it illegal for a 'source' at the club to tell a Journalist something in the hope they'll print it and drive the share price up hence getting more money for it. Stuff like that happens all the time. I really don't get how it's considered illegal. It's f***ing worked aswell as share prices went up by 8% this morning after this article was published. I wasn't using it in a negative context, it wasn't meant to be an attack on Freddy it was merely an outsider commenting on what he thought was going on. The Daily Mail *spits* is usually fairly spot on with it's sports coverage so they've obviously got wind of something happening. The fact they've quoted exact figures aswell leads me to believe they've been told something which later turned out to be bollocks. It's not in the intrests of any of the consortiums to tell the press shite like that so that leads me to believe it was someone from the club. Like their 5 page Becks to Toon story conplete with comments how we need a new hero etc?
Just as (in)accurate as the rest of em |

My missuses was going to buy me shares in NUFC for Christmas, warned her not to due to the takeover, fun to see her scratch her head to think of what else to get me.
Good news for Jan anyway, just hope Glenn uses the cash in the right places |
