1  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souness is purposely injuring players on: Today at 03:06:52 PM
This type of injury almost always requires surgery. However, I dont understand whether it was Taylor's, the club's or Souness personally that asked him not to have the surgery right away.

Are there any FACTS out there as to which one of these is the TRUTH?

You're right but Taylor shouldn't have any say in the matter, that will sound harsh as it's his body but he's just a kid who wants to play every game for us, he's getting games and loving it.  I'm not sure somebody in his position would be capable of making the right decision.  At his age and in his position, I'd have walked through walls to play for the club, regardless of the outcome.

That only leaves two options.
2  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souness on the brink! on: Today at 03:00:50 PM
Moyes took Everton to 4th last year and they could be relegated this year.

The past is no guide to the future!!!

Souness is shite so the past is a very good guide to the present.

Mick

Source for your Taylor theory please. Or admit that you do not have one. Either will do, in your own time.

This isn't the article that I read but here's a one I found, could you make sure that every post that you make on here is accompanied by a link to backup everything that you say.  Just put a link to Viz in your sig', that'll do.

England's medical staff diagnosed a dislocation and apparently assumed Taylor would have an operation shortly after his return to Tyneside. But that did not happen, even though the shoulder partially popped out in training during the defender's ensuing seven-week lay-off, which ended with his recall at Anfield.

The Souness stole my bike story had a lot more credibility than most of the stuff here. Whenever you ask for relaible sources ie Taylor was told to have his shoulder pinned, then it all goes very very quiet!!!

John,

Why don't you look in the thread where you asked the question instead of here?
5  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Parker out for 8 weeks on: Today at 02:32:06 PM
All I am saying is that injuries happen.

Please supply the official thread that England said Taylor should have an op immediately. The source could be as reliable as the one that had us all believing that Dyer was in Dubai over Xmas when he was in Ipswich.

I am only pointing out the holes in arguements that throw everything at the door of Souness. I would actually be happier if we hired a withc doctor to try and remove the curse as this is right up there with the stupidity that Souness is to blame for absolutely everything.

Some people have very short memories. A certain Mr Dalglish sold Ginola, Ferdinand and Asprilla and replaced them with Barnes, Rush and Des Hamilton. He almost got us relegated (we lost to Crystal Palace at home) and he did not get 50% of the abuse GS gets. You are being manipulated by the media. Wise up.

I'll get a link later on, I read something on another forum and went looking for something on Google as I thought it was just another rumour passed on by friends of a friend of a friend.  The article that I found was an article from a well respected journalist, they do exist.  It didn’t give any source but things do leak without the source being named, they are usually anonymous.

Dalglish being crap while here is no excuse or reason for accepting what is happening now.  I didn't want him at the club so feel no need to stick up for him (Dalglish).  I also think he didn't get stick because he had a better, more successful track record, and he didn't come with the baggage that Souness came with.
6  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souness is purposely injuring players on: Today at 02:14:15 PM
Our medical team do not do the op's. As for Souness actually injuring the players, I have heard everything now. I think that most of you lot believe that he would rather be unsuccessful than successful. That small minded attitude is the problem with our club and modern society. You have to know the bad times AND STICK TOGETHER AND COME THROUGH THEM BEFORE YOU KNOW WHAT THE GOOD TIMES ARE LIKE.

I think you've just taken the bait, either that or the original poster needs psychological treatment.
7  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souness on the brink! on: Today at 02:12:13 PM
Basically that means.

SSN- I want my payoff

SSN- Reet, you'll have it.

It does look like it, it also makes Souness look like a parasite.  Keegan and Gullit walked away from this club with nothing because they knew they'd done as much as they could.

Souness cares only about himself, he doesn't give a damn.
8  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Parker out for 8 weeks on: Today at 02:09:11 PM
Ok plays with a knock and instead of getting through and it getting better he is really unlucky and gets another knock to the same place making it worse. Remember he missed almost a year with the same injury that some came back with in 3-4 months.

SBR played Bryan Robson in 2 world cups - 1986 his shoulder went after experts assured him it would not. Bit like Steven Taylor. 1990 his achilles went when he played with a knock and he missed the whole tournament. Unless it is soft tissue and you can argue as to training, you cannot blame contact injuries on the manager. If you can the Mourinho should go coz Essien got injured etc.

John,

I admire your loyalty, I really do.  It's just a pity the prick you are so loyal towards isn't worthy of it.

Now to your points:

Are you saying Souness bought an injury prone player in Scott Parker?  Strange.

Sir Bobby was told that the shoulder injury to Brian Robson would last, according to you.  It's been reported that the Egland medical team sent Taylor home to have his shoulder pinned so the medical advice was not that his shoulder was OK.  I make an assumption that the national team have superior medical staff to us of course.
9  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Has Souness already been sacked on: Today at 01:58:52 PM
If you know anything about what went on while Bobby was at the club then you'd probably be wondering how Souness is here today.

Bobby received a lot of grief from Shepherd and he was doing much better than we are now.
10  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souness on the brink! on: Today at 01:55:39 PM
For the umpteenth time: Hitzfeld isn't available until the summer.

If you mean because of his TV commitments then I don't see how that would be a massive problem, he could still come here and then do the TV work in Germany.
11  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Parker out for 8 weeks on: Today at 01:52:14 PM
So players with any sort of knock cannot play then.

Say goodbye to any match in the Premiership as most players have some little injury that they carry ie Henry at Arsenal, Lampard at Chelsea, Gerrard at Liverpool.

I am sure the Tsunami last year was the fault of Souness in your book.

Right, you're getting in deeper.

This "knock" as you described it has now turned into a bloody operation so if it was only a "knock" then he's clearly made it worse by playing him against Spurs.
12  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souness has already been sacked on: Today at 01:45:44 PM
All the speculation is coming from The sun & anal oliver

Wouldnt get my hopes up yet!

Quote from Bobby Robson:

"If the chairman had made a small gaffe like that, it wouldn't have seen the light of day.  His influence would have carried the day inside the paper's office. I do not know whether he tried to stop it but once the Chronicle carried the story, everyone else followed it up and it became a huge local talking point."

My point is that Bobby knew both Shepherd and Oliver and he thought that Shepherd had the power to stop a story.

From that you have to think that Shepherd agrees for the simple reason that he hasn't stopped it from appearing.
13  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Parker out for 8 weeks on: Today at 01:33:42 PM
How can Parker suffering a knee injury in the West Ham game be the fault of Souness?

Injured against West Ham, played against Spurs.
14  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souness on the brink! on: Today at 12:41:39 PM
Unbelievable, one of the best managers in club football is twiddling his thumbs and we're talking about waiting until the summer before giving Souness the chop.

Another theory is to chop-Suey and use Glenda until the end of the season.

Why do either?

15  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Is Souness going today then? on: Today at 11:50:59 AM
Did this need another thread?
16  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Some perspective.... on: Today at 11:39:24 AM
I've supported them since teh 50's and this is about as bad as it gets

In the past we could say the $$$ wasn't being spent, we had crap players from the Scottish Div3 etc etc

We've spent a bloody fortune, we have some good palyers and a fabulous ground but I'm afraid the manager hasn't a clue

Did anyone think it would come to THIS when we ran off SBR??   Not in a million years

I didn't know what to expect when we sacked Bobby, I know I felt we'd made a mistake.

I knew what to expect the minute we appointed Souness, he's since proven everything I said about him was true except when I said he might change for the better.
17  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Anyone got the Celtic taunt vs. Souye on: Today at 11:14:39 AM
I did have it but have cleaned out my PC since, I'll check my back-ups if nobody else gets it for you but it wouldn't be until the weekend.
18  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Hitzfield would be a failure. on: Today at 04:43:48 AM
Has Hitzfeld managed out of Germany...no. So he could be another Perrin who some people wanted here. Le Guen could be the same. I would rather pack in then watch Sam's style of football and if we think GS uses excuses then O'Leary beggars belief. The only person I think could do a fundamentally better job is Hiddink and we have to wait until after the wrold cup or PSV's run in Chapions league before that.

Read waht Lee Clark says about Souness ..............................but obviously some will say he was told to say this.

Has John got many brain cells?......no.

Ruud, why hasn't Souness got the bottle you showed when you walked away from Newcastle?

JPW?

I've sent him a 3 page letter and will post a few others every day from now until we have a new manager.  He'll not only know who Ottmar Hitzfeld is he'll be thinking about him in his sleep soon.
