I've wasted quite a lot of money on ringtones over the years........

I just use the vibration for calls.

What are they made from?

When we owed a shop, we bought these boxes which contain (hard to explain) these translucent plastic shaped things. You just throw them into a deep fat fryer at a pretty high tempreature and hey presto its like magic.

Yep, looks really cool too.

I'd take him, easily the mackems' best player and better than Babayaro and Elliot.
6  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souness to blame for injuries? Far from it... on: January 15, 2006, 08:44:15 PM
Forget the injuries for one moment. The team that started yesterday was worth just under £40 million in transfer fees. On paper it was a good side and yet again they played like a lower league side. Souness has to shoulder the blame for that and stop with his repetitive pathetic "we were unlucky", "we just need a lucky  break" bollocks.

On paper, we are definitely a side who should be capable of playing to a high standard but as the commentary on Magic 1152 stated, "we look like a pub team."

Tyne-Talk do talk about some nonsense at times.

Personally for me, the injury problems are down to the training methods.

I seem to recall that the Blackburn players stating that their fitness was not up to the standard under Souness' methods but once Hughes was made manager, a few weeks later, they felt much better. Coincidence? I think not.

Agreed.

Boro are definitely in trouble now.

With their most influential player in Southgate on the sidelines, they will suffer.

I have never contemplated a relegation fight for NUFC, but if the shite we are seeing week in, week out continues, the fight for survival could become a reality.
12  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: SSN early review of tomorrow's papers.. on: January 15, 2006, 12:59:07 AM
Interesting.

I would like to see us signing a striker this month and Anelka would be a good option.
13  Chat / General Chat Forum / Re: Recent films you enjoyed? on: January 15, 2006, 12:58:07 AM
I watched Kikujiro a few nights ago.

It is a Japanese comedy-drama starring Takeshi Kitano (or Beat Takeshi).

IMO, it was a good film and was very touching.

Would anyone take him here after the World Cup???

He would definitely be an option.

Whatever happens at the World Cup, I strongly believe he will leave anyway.

19  Chat / General Chat Forum / Re: Maths Modular Test on: January 13, 2006, 09:55:57 PM
Ahh good old maths, about 2 years ago i was one of the brainer students in my class if i may say, our group were split with some people doing higher and others doing intermediate. During the whole year my mate who sat next to me skived loads of lessons and being a good friend as i'am i lent him my coursework and helped him use my notes to copy up from. Near the end of the year we had to decide which paper we had to do, i was fairly confident of taking the higher especially as you needed only like 12% to get a C and my mate decided to take the intermediate. On the day of the test the higher paper was ridiculously hard but i had counted my marks and i easily got at least a C. I didn't think none of it until the day we got the results i had got a C and the my mate the jammy sob got a B, to rub wounds in his coursework mark was higher than mine.

Aye, the grade boundaries for GCSE Maths (Edexcel) in 2004 were ridiculously low especially the % you needed to get a C. I remember the exam very well - non calculator paper was very difficult on the day.

It was like 62% to get an A*.

I'd let Harper go on loan, tbh.
