"Not Emre. I am reluctant to say anything about Stephen Carr because he trained at 9.30 on Friday morning and he was alright, and at 12 o'clock wasn't, so I don't know." though oblique, is that another accusation of a player faking injury?
I am not one to slate players on here... BUT...
Carr is a libility. He cheats to make up for his woeful lack of pace. He gets caught too far up the field and is not able to get back during a counter.
Sell him immediately. he has no place in a team wanting to go places, but is fairly average for a premiership fullback. defensively he is not the best tackler and can't head very well, he fouls a hell of a lot and seriously lacks pace, but when in attacking positions he is probably better than most in the league. i'd get rid of him if we had the money to replace him but i feel that left-back and centre-forward are more pressing priorities. |

| the amount of bollocks that has been posted on here in the past about how the players look happy when they score = good team spirit has been incredible. of course they are going to look happy! it is easy to be together and positive when everything is going well, but you can much better measure how stong team spirit is under adverse conditions. our ritual capitulation after conceding the first goal speaks volumes about how weak our team's unity and collective character is under souness. |

Woodgate's value would have gone down considerably by now. Hes not worth anything more than 2-3mill given his serious injury problems and huge wages.
Its like that player Milan bought ages ago for a world record fee of 13 mill, Lentini think it was, he was injured for several seasons then shipped out on a free. Thats the way Woody is head at present, Real at some point will decide his time is up and would probably jump at a chance to get rid of his wages and get some cash in. That cant be too far away.
that was a world record fee at the time iirc, then he was badly injured in a car crash. he mustve been some player before he moved to ac milan.
for the record i'd be happy with either, getting our money back plus gravesen or woodgate represents great value, which sounds too good to be true. |

| he'd be a phenomenal signing, and i believe we'd have a good chance at signing him. he is building a home near helsingborgs and wants to finish his career there, but won't be going to sweden till end of season at the earliest, so we could loan him up till june if barca were willing to let him go. |

That 56 year old German bloke who was born 12th January 1949 as opposed to Sir Bobby who is 71 and Born 14th February 1933, I suppose 16 years is reasonably close when you compare something that's thousands of years old but not when you compare ages of people.
i may have to whoosh you! |

That's quite an achievement to win the Champions League with two teams by only beating poor German sides.
especially when the only other competition was dortmund, made great by.... some german bloke, same age as sir bobby. |

Jenas was actually pretty good today. With a bit of luck, he could have scored 2 goals aswell.
he was pretty good in the 2nd half, not exactly a tremendous achievement considering his opposition. |

Err, I was ridiculed by almost everybody in the summer for claiming I thought we'd be in a relegation dogfight. Thought I'd point that out, like.
We later signed Owen, and he's looked like being the get out of jail card for Souness. I just hope we have enough points already, so that we can manage to accumulate the 15 or so we'll need. Can't see where they're coming from, but what I do believe is that had we not signed Owen we'd be in the bottom 3 right now.
there were plenty of people saying we were relegation fodder, or if not that then "we are bad enough to go down, but thankfully there's far worse teams than us" which is still true now. |

| we didnt risk all on owen tho as we also bought luque and were looking to buy another striker. i was originally against signing owen up until the last minute when it became clear that if we didnt get owen we probably wouldn't have signed anyone else after that, so was overjoyed we bought him. there is an argument that focusing so much on owen detracted from our pursuit of other targets, but that is not true, as we purchased luque, made a bid for torres, and attempted to acquire anelka. |

tottenham 0 newcastle -2.
a bramble gift for the first one, and faye then babayaro for the 2nd.
this game was there for the taking, spurs were poor in the 1st halfand the game looked as if it might pan out in a similar way to blackburn & west ham games with the threat of owen always looming and spurs fans getting frustrated. as it was, a mistake then an injury to owen finished the game. the 2nd half was inept beyond words but also a non-event as the game was over by that point. |

Old news. Said he was going there about 2 weeks ago. We're gonna miss out on DeJong and Trabelsi as well. I don't think we have any scouts in Holland anyway... there must be some scouting system or contacts over there, after all tim krul was plucked from the youth team of some dutch team. |
