2  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Could Eriksson be the man to take over from Souness? on: Today at 12:45:59 PM
HELL NO.
another one who doesnt have a clue. and costs fortunes on top of that.
not worth it imo.
3  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Craig Bellamy on: Today at 09:31:24 AM
According to de Volkskrant (my Dutch newspaper), PSV are to make a 7.2m Euro bid for Bellamy, who has a clause that lets him join Euro teams.

I thought Bellamy was good when he played for Newcastle, but as you sold him cheaply to Blackburn, that means he is not so good? Is it a good choice for PSV?

absolutely. he'll certainly help them in the CL.
I'm a bit sceptical on how he'll adapt though.
Good move for him if it happens imo.

You're going down, Jussi.

Not in a gay way, obviously. In an "about to get a fantasy football ass-kicking" way.

6  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Lack of imagination on: January 12, 2006, 08:29:09 AM
Simple answer.... No Money

No, I dont mean should be spending on big name players, the opposite actually.
Look at the signings of Kluivert or Butt for example. Those we're players who were looking for
the one last lucrative contract in their careers and we were willing to give it to them. Its the same with Anelka and Nihat.
My question is that why we never seem to go less known, up and coming players like many of our rivals do?
7  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Lack of imagination on: January 12, 2006, 08:06:47 AM
i've been thinking about the players we've been linked with lately, and for some reason
i'm not too exited about any of them coming to Newcastle United.
Its not so much the quality of those players that bothers me, its the lack of imagination we have
in the transfer market.

Its doesnt take a genious to say that Nihat or Anelka are decent footballers, but how come we're
constantly linked with these sort of players who are more or less beyond their best years in the game.

Liverpool have just bought Daniel Agger From Bröndby. ManU scouted Nemanja Vidic from Red Star. We're in
for the village bicycles like Anelka. When was the last time our scouting system identified a talent? I'm starting to wonder if we even have a scouting system.

Even in this board many people wish we'd get some of our old players/managers back. Why is it so difficult to
look for the less obvious, or dont we just bother with it?
8  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Terry Mac's on 240k on: January 12, 2006, 07:38:48 AM

9  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: The official Fans Out thread on: January 10, 2006, 11:13:09 AM
cant ask people to act happy if theyre not can you.
this in an internet forum ffs. if it makes you a bad fan to show your frustrations here
then where can you do it?
i'm sure we all support the team during the game, but why shouldnt we talk our minds here
when there's clearly so many things wrong in our club atm?
10  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: The official Fans Out thread on: January 10, 2006, 10:39:08 AM
graeme, p*** off!
11  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Possible Transfer Scenerio on: January 05, 2006, 11:47:08 AM
the problem is to find anyone who would want these players.
we'd get peanuts for selling them all. the question is, can we afford to make a clearout
in the near future?
12  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souey to be Sacked Today - Reports! on: January 05, 2006, 11:03:13 AM
cant we just give the job to roeder untill we find someone.
13  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Possible Transfer Scenerio on: January 05, 2006, 10:46:38 AM
woody's played like ten games for madrid so far. why would they sell him so cheaply?
i'm not too fon of him coming back anyways. another sick note. no thanks.

14  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: The position of Souness' hardcore supporters after he goes on: January 05, 2006, 09:50:53 AM
The club is the most important thing. If sacking Souness today GUARANTEED that we would win the FA Cup this year then get him out. I happen to think, although I know that I am in a minority on this forum, that he will get it right given the time that we gave Dalglish without half the moans and injury list.

how can anyone guarantee that?? blueconfused.gif
getting us into top ten first would be progress. does souness guarantee us the cup btw? or doesnt the same rules apply to him?
15  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Souness is purposely injuring players on: January 05, 2006, 08:18:05 AM
It's ridiculous to suggest that Souness is getting players injured deliberately as their absence only highlights another of his failings, the lack of a squad with any depth or substance.

what he said.

16  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: The position of Souness' hardcore supporters after he goes on: January 05, 2006, 08:11:32 AM
there are some who start throwing personal abuse on you if you want souness out, thinking they are more intelligent because they see the big picture and understand the importance of continuity.
good thing about these people is that they only show up when we've won, which ofcourse happens
rarely under souey.
17  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: A hive of activity? on: January 05, 2006, 07:09:28 AM
£5 million + Bowyer + Faye for Murphy

I think the question here is, is Murphy worth £5.1 million?

are you sure we'll get £100k for bowyer? bluecool.gif
18  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: Has Souness already been sacked on: January 04, 2006, 01:44:34 PM
Too late, I'm already dead.

why would sam join now if he didn't join last season and we were in erope and just came fifth, whilenow he's in europe and doing well!

because this time he cant do any worse than his predecessor.
20  Newcastle-Online Forum / NUFC Forum / Re: A hive of activity? on: January 04, 2006, 11:25:03 AM
two out, one in.
sounds very sensible indeed. bluesigh.gif

murphy is an ok player, and definately better than faye and bowyer together, but
not what we need at this point in time.
