Lampard for me too. Head and shoulders above the rest. Followed by Rooney, even though i can`t stand him.

Gerrard was gone WAY down in my estimation lately. What a tosser.

Of our players, the only one who would register, is Parker. Imo, at least.

That's quite thought provoking for this time of the day! Have to say though, that there are some peeps who the world would have benefitted from, had they not been expelled from there mothers womb  bluebiggrin.gif

how true. Half of Peterlee, thats for sure.

Or as Mr. P would say, the best part of you ran down your mothers leg.  bluebiggrin.gif

I was in Peterlee Asda last night, getting my little boy a birthday cake, and there were tons of charvas loitering around the escalators. I had to fight my way into the shop, ffs. I feel sorry for the poor f**kers who work there.

I`ve heard a better one about Peterlee, even then that one, which is unbelievable.

One of the bus drivers, a couple of months back, had their teenage junkie son lifted for STEALING MOPHEADS FROM FARMFOODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kid you not, it was in the Peterlee star.

Just shows, you can`t educate pork..... bluebiggrin.gif

If god is omnipresent, yet god isn't in hell, then doesn't that stand to reason that god isn't omnipresent and everything is just wrong? :p

bloody hell...... bluebiggrin.gif
9  Chat / General Chat Forum / Re: when I got married........ on: Yesterday at 01:35:32 PM
I got married at hammersmith registry office, with about 12 friends there. Cost us the money for the license, and a few pints afterwards. We went to and from on the number 266!!

Couldn`t afford a honeymoon, so we came up here for a weekend on the coach, and went to the match on a saturday, followed by a pubcrawl with some old friends. Bloody great, cost next to nothing.

We`re thinking of having a church blessing, but I`m not too sure about it.....
10  Chat / General Chat Forum / If Hell exists on: Yesterday at 01:30:40 PM
So if heaven exists, does that mean hell does too??

As as Catholic, I`m supposed to believe in hell, heaven and purgatory, but as a newcastle supporter, i think i`m already in purgatory, so who knows... bluebiggrin.gif

I think, if there is a hell, then its a place where you are totally alone, and you know you`ll always be so, for eternity. I can`t think of anything worse, to be honest.

Not sure about satan and his pitchfork roasting your arse over a fire for eternity......

Toon Crazy, I`m sorry for your loss. I`ve been through my fair share, so i really do empathise with you. It does get a little easier with time, but you never forget, well thats what I`ve found.

Its a comfort to believe it does exist. I do think we go on, this CAN`T be it, surely.

Thing is it can`t be proved either way, so its all down to faith.

For those of us who have lost loved ones, myself included, the concept of heaven where my parents for example are back together again, is a huge comfort to me personally. That said, my dad was a total athiest, and believed in this is it, this is all you get, when your gone your gone!

For me, the thought of being with my mam and dad again, makes the end seem more bearable.

As for age, I`d like to think you go back to a time in your life when you were fit and well, and happiest after you die.

We`ll only know when its too late to tell anyone I suppose!! bluebiggrin.gif

Just watched Sin City, contrary to reports from other people I actually enjoyed it.

I tried to watch it but gave up after half an hour. Just not my bag. Mind Mickey Rouke was MADE for that part!! Bet he didn`t need much make-up. Jeez.

Just watched Saw for the first time on sky. Bloody good film. Quite clever for a slasher movie.

Just back in from seeing King Kong, with the kids. Very good.

Even the little fella enjoyed it, no wee breaks. The more he chews about going to the can, the worse the film.

Thought Jack Black and Naomi Watts, were terrific.
15  Chat / General Chat Forum / Re: LOST Season TWO *Contains Spoilers up to Episode 09: What Kate Did* on: January 05, 2006, 11:53:27 PM
There wasn't one on E4 last night as there's a double header on Channel 4 next week with the last 2 episodes of the series.

Thank you. I was hoping they weren`t going to leave it there!!
16  Chat / General Chat Forum / Re: The Magic of Jesus on: January 05, 2006, 04:15:49 PM
Sorry that was a bit harsh.

I didn't mean to attack you quite like that, but I really don't understand why religion should be above ridicule.

It was a bit over the top!! But you are right, everything seems to be fair game these days. Having a pop at Christianity however, seems to be a particually cheap shot, cause the god botherers are "wierdos" anyway. Not sure however if this programme was directed at Islam, it would have been taken so lightly. And quite rightly so.  Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and as long as they are not hurting anyone else, be allowed to do so in peace, and without ridicule.

Rumble in the jungle.

Speilberg is shite, stay well away from anything he's even remotely involved in.

Harsh.

Schindlers List is top drawer.
20  Chat / General Chat Forum / Re: Car Experts (any mechanics?) on: January 05, 2006, 04:00:24 PM
we have a diesel previa, and a diesel Golf.

First diesels we`ve had in years. Bloody good cars, my golf is a little flying machine. Best car I`ve ever had, even better than my dads bmw that i drove for years.

The previa is pretty nippy too considering it seats 8 and is an automatic!! I`ve cained 110 out of it on the motorway!! Should see the look on the faces as you fly past in a people carrier!!! Bloody funny....until i get a ticket!!
