Title: Emre injury????
Post by: BooBoo on October 24, 2005, 09:46:13 AM
Skysports reckon he's doubtful for Grimsby after feeling his hamstring!

Another one!

Like I said in another thread, I've heard he's complained to his agent about the quality of our medical staff.

Being cynically ****ted by that mackem **** wont have helped either.

The funny thing is the Dr who has just left us reckons we have 2 of the best physios in the PL and he was Chairman and Founder of the PL Dr's Association.

Emre has had a history of injury problems before he joined us  so I wouldn't expect him to be injury free all of a sudden.

No, but I'd expect at least someone in our squad to be fit.  It's not like Emre's injury is exactly isolated, we're top of the crocked league on physioroom yet again this week.

Exactly.  If it were a mix of players and a mix of injuries, you could put it down to bad luck.  But our pacy players keep getting hamstring and ligament damage, more so than other teams.  And our re-inury rate of this kind of problem is awful as well.

Not convinved on this story.

He did an Interview on Newcastle world TV where he said he felt his calf for 70 mins in the game, after that mackem brought him down,

He said he feels fine, and came through it basically unscathed.

So, he must of pulled his hammy getting into his car?

Aye, shearer spent 3 month on his arse over christmas didn't he?
And speed's been out for a while now with a back injury - same thing that screwed him last season.

Ideal person to mention here is Lampard. Mr.No Injury, rather than to NUFC Hasbeens.

Did anyone else hear on Skysports saying at half time that he had limped off, I can remember hearing that and thinking that he was injured again and was expecting someone coming on to replace him in the second half.

Not surprised he's injured after two horrible fouls on him in 2 games!

Woulden't risk him against grimsby

I'd go

              Given
Car Taylor Boumsong Ramage
Solano Parker Bowyer N'zogbia
            Shearer Ameobi

Subs
Harper
Bramble?
Faye
Emre
Chopra

Parker (groin) and Carr (calf) are both doubtful for Grimsby according to Sky Sports.

Don't forget lads that some athletes are built differently to others. Some have natural fitness and don't need to do much to stay fit. Some are built strong enough for the position they play in. Take Shearer's build for example. Maybe if he was a midfield player, he'd be getting more injuries (just an example). Maybe if Woodgate was a keeper, he'd be fit all the time.

It varies from one person to the next.

He'll be fit, I'd have him on the bench with Bowyer starting if fit.

Yeah. I think Bowyer is quite an important squad player for us with our injury history and will provide us with decent back up for Emre and Parker. Not sure on emre's injury situation so i think predicting his fitness for WBA will be hard. Fingers crossed he is pretty much fit. Solano makes alot of difference!

He had an ankle 'niggle' but they decided to see how it went in the 2nd half.

They were talking about our 16 hamstring injuries prior to this game, and as soon as he was subbed off, the commentator said "We talked about Newcastle's 16 hamstring injuries this year, now it's 17.  Emre."  But nothing more was said about it.  Found it a bit odd.

After the match Emre said he was kicked in the calf but he's fine now, If he had a hamstring injury im sure there would of been some news about it today

Forget that, send Al out in the hope he can knock 3 past them and get that bit closer to wor Jackie's record that he is chasing. Partner him up with Rocky see how the lad goes for a ful match.
