Title: Emre playing for Turkey?
Post by: GeordieAbroad on September 07, 2005, 06:53:16 PM
bluebigeek.gif

Just been to the Sky Sports live score thingy, and he's listed in their starting 11!  bluebigeek.gif

Thought he was gonna be out for a while yet.  He'd better come through this game, then, or there'll be some angry folk at St. James'.

Go to Sky Sports' website, launch the Live Football scores thing, go to Turkey's game and click on their team.  He's in the starting 11, and the game is into the second half!   bluebigeek.gif

Funny enough Souness did say Dyer was worse than Emre and Emre could start Fulham game if Fit, Emre has been with the Turkish team for a week so he must feel fine, Hope its good news because we all know how important he is!!!

Aye, good news aslong as he didn't aggrevate his injury.

Title: Re: Emre playing for Turkey?
Post by: Dragon55544 on September 07, 2005, 07:17:24 PM
The reason Souness said he let him go was because there was a lot of players out with there international teams and Newcastle was going to Malaga so he said he could go and meet up with his international squad, Pointless him staying back on his own. He said it would do him good to be around some close friend!!

Title: Re: Emre playing for Turkey?
Post by: lovejoy on September 07, 2005, 07:18:00 PM
i hope he is unscathed!

a team of:

shay
carr
baba
boum
taylor
luque
parker
emre
bowyer
shearer
owen

should give fulham a hiding!

I think it could be on Newcastle world. Yea i thought that to, It makes sense because his English aint great and he's on his own. It's ok for the likes of Dyer who has been here for years and is English.

From Eurosport:

Ukraine-Turkey 13'    Shovkovskiy busily organisiing his wall as Turkey have a free-kick in a threatening position...just twenty-five metres out...EMRE WITH IT! But disappointingly hits the wall and Ukraine can clear.

I'm not.  It means he's not playing when he should be resting.  Although obviously if he was fully fit ahead of schedule it would be great.

Think he'll be out for a few more weeks yet, the Chronicle said last week him and Dyer could be out for a month. Although, Souness's comments suggest it might be sooner than that.

Glad to see he wasn't playing, hamstring injuries simply need a lot of rest, rushing him back for this match could've increased his potential chance of injury further.

i have seen the whole Game also emre was not in the squad  anyway and did NOT play .

after the checkup in turkey  they told the media there is very very little chance to play him against  Ukraine . but i guess he couldn t make it and he  was send back to england 2 days ago . IMO he will not play this week  for sure .  next week i expect  him to play . thats the best i think never  rush a hamstring Injury .

Mark Lawrensen seems to think he's fit to play.
Quote:
It will be interesting to see how many points Fulham will pick up on the road this season.

The whole Michael Owen thing will spur Newcastle on and with Emre fit and Nolberto Solano back there must be a fantastic feel-good factor at the club.

When Chris Coleman saw the fixture and then saw that Owen had signed he must have thought that's just what we need.

Verdict: 2-0

He's also predicted us for a win which isn't a good sign.

Emre did not play any of the matches against Denmark and Ukraine.
Like you all know his injured. He probably went to support his mates caus he's a key player and important for the team.
(dont forget that Turkey has switched of national team coach Ersun Yanal is replaced by Fatih Terim).

It would be strange if he is able to play for Turkey but not for NUFC, he's dying to show what he's capable of doin, he wants to show he worthy.

Lets give the kid a bit of time, it'll all be good:D
Emre's great

I just think it was a basic error by Skysports and with all the injuries fans like myself got our hopes up that he did play and was fit, He is a very important player for us and watching his interview on World you could tell how eager he is to show us his Skills.

I think sky sport has used a former turkey squad list because they thought they all would play....
Unfortunately he is still injured, i don't know for how long cause haven't been able to read any news sugestioning the time period of the injury.

I know he said after the match against manchester united in whitch he got injured that he wasn't 100% fit because he was comming back from a injury whitch he had taken against Bulary.
He wanted to play the manchester match to play a topmatch for the home crowd, because of that he took the risk for this injury.

I saw the match an tele live, from the start i could tell he wasn't 100%, he wasn't running that much how he use to, did'nt do any dribbeling with the ball but passes on imidiately, after 20 minuites or so it became clear what the reason was for this :(
He said also that he wants to get fit 100% so he can play full....
Let's hope that will be soon, he's a great footballer......you'll see
