Very... I was hoping for a good show from Barca (I don't get to see them much). Something that strikes me is the lack of movement from the front 3 and at times Barca seemed to be playing "if you get the ball give it to messi even if he's surrounded by 3 players". Was good to see Ronnie finally run with the ball even though Eto'o messed it up.

Just watched Val-Inter here in Sweden. Inter deservedly knocked out, were dirty all nght. Game ends, huge brawl in center circle, people kicking each other, studs up... not nice scenes, typical italians.

Liverpool have the best home fans in England and one of the best in europe, the scarfs at the end was amazing

A lack of showing up for the first half is what cost Barcelona.  Rijkaard has to take some of the blame, too.  Eto'o on the left was a mistake, then subbing him for Giuly(who can't cross or shoot.. can't do anything other than run) thus leaving no natural strikers on the pitch for a while.  I do have to single out Steve Finnan, though.  Never put a foot wrong all night and was the best player on the pitch.

Also, I hate ITV more than I hate Liverpool.  Biggest bunch of twats I've had the misfortune of hearing commentate a game.

One of the Valecia subs did something in the brawl and ran away, 2 Inter players CHASED him round the pitch, and did two huge slide tackles on him, trying to take him down. The kinda cr*p you see bullies doing in the yard at school.

Thought Sissoko was immense tonight. Done the hard dirty work and then gave the ball to Alonso, Gerrard etc to play. Dissappointed with Gerrard, thought he didn't get into the game much. Tactically Benitez was awesome until that stupid decision to take Bellamy off nearly cost him the game. For years now it is evident that when English teams play in Europe with a high tempo and get in their faces the foreign teams don't stand a chance. Playing 1 upfront the last half an hour gave Barca more time and space and when they started picking their passes Liverpool looked in all sorts of bother.

All in all I'm glad them and Chelsea are through but could have went pear shaped.

Bah, missed it again, was watching League of Gentlemen.

His control and ability on the ball is on par with Ameobi, and his lack of control over his own legs is also on par with Ameobi :lol:

Alex does belong to Chelski and is at PSV on loan, only becuase they could not get a work permit for him over here. He is a class act, had an awesome game last night, I am sure Chelski will have him back as soon  as thay can get his work permit.

The English teams have to fancy their chances. Valencia are tactically sound and play good football but do they have the required temperament? AC Milan are a shadow of their former selves, an average team, with one or two top players like Kaka and Pirlo - up against any decent team with a good midfield and attack and they will struggle. Bayern, a strong and experienced side but they lack class in certain areas. PSV are workmanlike and defensively strong, but like Bayern lack class in certain areas. Roma are an oddball, they need their top players to perform to progress.

Liverpool, they will fancy themselves over two legs against anyone, where as Man Utd have a few extra gears no doubt. Chelsea are very strong too. If those three can avoid each other in the next round, they'll all go through in my opinion and I fancy Man Utd to win it or Liverpool. Bayern are the dark horses.

Roma have been terriffic this season, they'll give anyone a hard game, and if they draw an English side it gives ITV a chance to continute thier hate campaign against Totti.

not as terrific as the elimated Inter.
